Pro-tip: When traveling with friends, don’t forget to repeatedly ask them if they can be the model subject in your composition. Here is a series of images taken by photographer @elliotjsimpson , who was able to add some additional perspective to his shots with the help of his friends πŸ‘‰πŸ½ "When traveling, I am often with people and love to include them in my photographs. As much it adds depth to the image, it also allows me to capture that memory and I can play back that day every time I look at." | #SonyAlpha a7 III | #BeAlpha

πŸ“·: @micanthonyhay "There are many places to see the iconic Manhattan skyline from and because NYC is always changing, there are constantly new opportunities popping up to capture it from a new perspective. I trust the dynamic range in my Sony cameras and I resist the urge to crank up the ISO at dusk. An image like this has so many intricate layers and it was important for me to keep the finer details in the composition as sharp as possible.ο»Ώ" | a7R III | 24-70mm F4 | 24mm | f5 | 1/250 sec | ISO 320 | #SonyAlpha #BeAlpha ο»Ώ #AlphaCollective

Views of the iconic Alabama Hills shared by photographer @missjessbess πŸ‘‰πŸ½ "I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at Alabama Hills that the wildflowers were in full bloom. This day, I was hopping back and forth on rocks with two camera setups going. I used the distortion of the lens to really exaggerate the size of the flower in the foreground, I also did this by getting as close to the flower and as low to the ground as possible.ο»Ώ" | a7 III | 12-24mm F4 G | 12mm | f16 | 1/8 sec | ISO 100 | #SonyAlpha #BeAlpha

Here’s a tip from photographer @professorhines πŸ‘‰πŸ½ "This photo was taken with two filters, a 3-stop Neutral Density and a 6-stop Dark Circular Polarizer filter. Using a polarizer for images with water are useful for removing the reflections that may be presented on the surface of the water. In placing the filter onto your lens you can turn it as far as you desire, to minimize or remove those reflections from your image." | a9 | 25mm f/2 | f22 | 182 sec | ISO 50 | #SonyAlpha #BeAlpha #AlphaCollective

πŸ“·: @mydetoxtravel "The best images I have are the ones I've imagined even before pressing the shutter. I've scouted the area a couple of days before and I decided it'd be the perfect place for huge panoramas. This image took me 5 hours to process. The reason is that the file size is a little over 6GB, a result from a 21-shot Milky Way panorama and 7-shot foreground. It was very challenging to work with such a huge file and transform it into a 4x5 portrait shot for Instagram while trying to keep the shape of the mountains as natural as possible." | a7R III | 16-35mm f2.8 GMο»Ώ | #SonyAlpha #BeAlpha

πŸ“·: @jeroenvandam "The underground stations in Stockholm are considered by many to be the most beautiful in the world. This particular station, Radhuset, is my favorite because of the fiery orange colored bare rock. I took this shot at 1 a.m. in the morning to make sure the station was almost empty, except for me and the lovely Maja who walked in the frame. Also, with help of a tripod, I carefully composed the image using the leading lines of the floor, columns and escalators, so your eyes are automatically drawn towards the person in the center." | a7R III | 16-35mm f/2.8 GM | 16mm | f9 | 0.4 sec | ISO 200 | #SonyAlpha #BeAlpha

A #SonyAlphaAnimalPortrait of the most adventurous cat we have ever met @sukiicat , captured by photographer @enchanted.forest. "Anyone who photographs animals knows how difficult it can be to get the focus and timing right... photographing an adventure cat is no exception! With all the birds and bugs zooming around, I have to be fully prepared to catch the shot when she finally looks. The new Animal Eye AF, in combination with fast shutter speed, has been such an amazing tool for capturing those crisp, split-second moments." | #SonyAlpha a7 III | 16-35mm 2.8 GM | 16mm | f4 | 1/320 sec | ISO 200 | β€’ β€’ We will be featuring several animal portraits over the next few weeks and will be looking for images shared on Instagram by YOU. Photographer @ryan.lomas , a local to Lake District National Park in the UK, shares this series of shots taken just around his neighborhood. Swipe to see the entire series all taken with the #SonyAlpha a7 III and 28-70mm lens πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½ β€’ β€’ "My favorite part of shooting the Lake District is grabbing my a7 III, driving to a chosen location, and getting lost within the landscapes with no real set-in-stone plan. Having such a beautiful part of the UK at my doorstep definitely has its benefits!ο»Ώ" #BeAlpha

Would you rather stay the night at a 5-star hotel or a billion-star tent? Photographer @elliotjsimpson shares this view from his camp set-up taken during a road trip through California ✨ β€’ β€’ "My billion-star hotel for the night during my Californian road trip. I sat in the sand with my tripod in front of me, blown away by the number of stars... a truly dark sky as nature intended" | #SonyAlpha a7 III | 16-35mm f4 | 16mm | f4 | 30 sec | ISO 3200 | #BeAlpha

A unique perspective of the Philadelphia skyline shared by photographer @stevedampman πŸ‘‰πŸ½ "This shot was taken at around 7 a.m. during the cherry blossom bloom back in April in Philadelphia, PA. A tip I can share is that as a photographer, you should always look for interesting framing like beautiful colored flowers wrapping around the entire image. BRB, moving to Seoul to enjoy this view. Anyone joining?😏 β€’ β€’ πŸ“·: @simonlachapelle "This photo was taken from the top of a mountain 10 km away from Downtown. Seoul is very hazy because of all the pollution so I used a "Night Sky" filter to clear the yellow haze in the sky. Filters are not only for landscape and can definitely be used in the city as well!" | #SonyAlpha a7R III | 70-200 mm f/4 | f/8 | 8 sec | ISO 100 | #BeAlpha
