Hiya everyone 🌼 Thank you all for such a fun sale yesterday! I'm surprised you guys liked the boba teas and PhOnE tHiNgS so much 😭 I still have plenty of things up for grabs on my page, don't forget to check it out if you haven't yet!
I have a mild concern that people get turned off by the phrase "B-grade" so I wanted to show you guys the few charms from yesterday with that tag. The definition of "B-grade" varies from artist to artist: some are pickier than others. I considered these bubble teas "B-grade" for the obvious fact that there is a pearl stuck in both of them, but other than that they're fine. The tamagotchi has a flawed grade, because there was an issue while I was back doming, so the front has a couple of foggy spots. I don't see these charms as a waste of material or time because of minor things, so I include them in my sales at a discounted price from an "A-grade" charm.
I guess the point I'm trying to make is- just because it's not perfect it doesn't mean it's ugly or it should be thrown away. As a newbie pin collector, I try and seek out "B-grade" or flawed pins because it's easy for me to see past the imperfections and they help grow my collection even more. Same with "B-grade" charms. I've bought "B-grade" molds that perform just as well as if they were perfect. Even with collecting cards I don't care if it's the mintiest PSA 10 eligible card in existence, I'm just going to put it in a binder and appreciate it for the art. Idk sorry I'm going on a tangent here 😂😅 I know there are people out there who are the opposite of me, and that's okay too! I just wanted to explain why "B-grade" is still okay.
TL:DR- B-grade art and stuff is fine if you're wanting to collect for a discount, and if you're willing to look past the imperfections
