Propolis is a brown resinous substance honeybees collect from tree buds. It's malleable when its warmed up but also hardens like a glue. They use it to seal up the hive and to polish wax comb. As the winter approaches here in the North East they work tirelessly sealing up the hive with this stuff. As a beekeeper it can be harvested and used for a multitude of useful applications.
