#firstimpressionswithmelon . Not really a huge fan of this cover. Personally, the light, silvery-gray backdrop with stalactite looking crown fits the title more. The quote, 'In a land without a queen, the princess must rise' gives me the impression that said-princess has to go through very great lengths to get her rightful throne. I think I can kind of understand why blue was chosen as a colour for the backdrop. The colour blue symbolizes confidence, intelligence and faith. Probably, these are some of the qualities that the main character has. . Theodosia has been a captive in her own palace for ten years. She was crowned, 'Ash Princess', a title of shame, fitting of her current position as a prisoner after the Kaiser took her family, land and her name. One night, the Kaiser forces her to do the unthinkable. With the hope of reclaiming her throne lost and blood on her hands, she realizes that surviving alone is no longer enough. She has a formidable weapon; her mind is sharper than any swords. For ten years, she has watched her people being enslaved and her lands pillaged. All of that is about to end. . I love, love, love reading about stories of success. Theo is going to climb her way up to reclaim her throne and I'm excited to see her kick-butt that Kaiser!
