Wow, what a busy Monday, it’s whizzed by, needless to say I’m exhausted! It’s now time to start unwinding and get ready for bed. 🛏💤 Even though #SleepAwarenessWeek and #WorldSleepDay have passed, it’s still important to make sure we focus on getting enough sleep. Here are 5 quick tips you can do to help you get ready for bed, and to help you #sleepbetter ; •Keep #lighting low and noise to a minimum. •Have your room temperature at a comfortable level. •If you wake up or need to use the bathroom, go right back to bed. •Try to avoid looking at your phone or other devices, and don’t turn on any more lights than needed. •Don’t eat, because this will keep you awake longer and may upset your stomach. Last Friday was World Sleep Day, and I missed posting an update because I was snoozing away 😴 〰️ I read a crazy fact recently that said the day after the clocks go forward (when we all lose an hour of sleep) the rates of hospital visits due to heart attacks spike. It’s amazing how something as seemingly meaningless as losing just an hour of sleep can have such an impact, and it got me thinking about the amount of times I have stayed up late to finish work – is it worth it? The answer is, probably not 💤 〰️ I spent this weekend reading, sleeping, and with my laptop firmly shut… and it was wonderful! 🙌🏻 〰️ How many hours of slumber do you get each night?
