Toby tried to make it exciting as well by having a diabetic low right before the last event 😂 Happy we got 2nd place in unideal circumstances. EPIC NEWS ALERT | 🚨 . Repost from our PT @jimmyxxsmith . I have had to keep this one under wraps but... Before I begin some climbing this year we will be heading to the US to compete against some of the best, craziest and no doubt stupidest runners in the world when we race at the famous @redbull 400 which is going to be held on Copper Peak, Michigan. Currently, the record at Copper Peak sits just over 4:00m which is just a nasty time frame for a 100% effort. For those of you that haven’t heard about this event, the Red Bull created the event a few years ago. It is a max effort 400m sprint at a 41% incline. We actually use the Copper Peak aerial ski ramp. I have been waiting 6 months to gather confirmation from the organisers at Red Bull but now we are off and racing! Best thing is the other half can come too! Creating healthy habits that last are easier said than done. It all sounds straight forward in your head and the first few weeks everything goes well- as long as motivation last. But motivation doesn’t last forever so what can you do? In my experience a few things have really helped me and my clients. Break your new habit goals down from big and vague to small and specific. Our brains are super smart and they will always find ways around. So instead of trying to drink more water plan on drinking 1 glass before every meal. This makes it more specific and reachable and there is only a small chance to find an excuse or to forget about it. The same goes for working out. Don’t plan on working out more. Instead plan for specific days and times so you are fully committed. Everyone tells you to eat more veggies, that’s great. Plan for it! Every morning you will add a serve of veggies. E.g. in your smoothie or omelette and for lunch you aim for a side of salad The more specific the easier to follow What is your habit goal what you would like to implement?
