What do you think about this view of Amman? 🇯🇴
When I sat there and looked over this city with so much history, it instantly felt like a deja vu. I've seen a similar endless urban view from another high up point, Athens. The capital of my country is a city with so much rich history, culture, incredible food, people and endless choices of entertainment yet it's a city that is full of block of flats, grey buildings, little amount of green and open spaces, unfriendly to the human needs and to the people of the city. And I wonder, why two so historically important cities let the people do whatever they wanted to them? Why no rules, why no plan for a future or for a better future when there was so much time throughout their history? Were their citizens and governers clueless or just ignorant? How much of a better place they could both be if their people respected their history and culture more?
I love you Greece but I just wish you were more thoughtful and respectful of the people around you and the beautiful country you've been given. 🇬🇷 On a happy note, I loved the buzz of the city of Amman and its friendly people. 👌🏼 Don't forget to visit the Citadel where you can learn about the city's history and see great panoramic views. 🏢
