All I can think about right now is how good a run would feel. I live right by a trail system and can practically smell the freedom running brings. Next to hiking, running is my fave escape, the perfect stress relief. I’m no stranger to injury, it seems my whole life I’ve been rather accident prone. From a crushed pinky finger at 18 months old followed by at least a couple of head lacerations and bumps as a child to a lacerated calf muscle from a short lived joy ride on a farm motorbike at age 11; to a series of knee injuries and subsequent surgeries mostly from rugby during college and then there was my concussion and black eye I was quite proud of at the time (although nausea for weeks after quickly brought me back down to earth). I thought I was mostly past it until my Achilles blew up last summer followed by a separated shoulder in November from a bike crash. And now my first ever confirmed broken bone (I’ve had a likely stress fracture, and possible broken elbow from a horse falling on me but both unconfirmed by X-ray). So as you can see I am rather used to this. But what I can say with some certainty is, it just never gets any easier. So thank you again for all your kind messages, advice and well wishes, I know this too shall pass.
Thanks for your help with this shot @mddyelrck
