The first and largest national park in Kenya. It occupies 4% of the country's area. Probably the largest protected area in the world, where animals live in the wild. It is famous for red elephants. Where does the color come from? Elephants like to spray the skin with mud and soil, which in Tsavo contains red clay. The park became famous thanks to the legend of lions that ate people. Apparently, at the end of the nineteenth century, they absorbed the workers who built the railway. Interestingly, these lions didnt have a mane. To this day, some lions in Tsavo dont have a mane. Based on a legend about these lions, the movie "Ghost and Darkness" was made with Michael Douglas and Val Kilmer. We can admire the beauty of Tsavo not only from the jeep, but also from many loggias, from which there is a great view of the surrounding area and water holes, where various animals arrive at different times of the day. They have their paths and hours. No genre gets in the way of the other and everyone can satisfy their thirst.
