COUCH TO 10K Runner app with my speedy super Dad! Yesterday was week 1, day 3 of our new challenge - running with Dad has made it so much easier and more enjoyable! We have been running for around 30 mins, 1 min run then 1 min walk and so on. Hoping this will help my weight loss, and get us feeling fitter and stronger. If you don’t know already I drive a lorry for my dads business and because that means we are both sat down driving all over the country every day, it’s been ace getting out and stretching are legs (even though it’s super hard when you’ve been up since 4am driving your lorry!). It’s only been a week but touch wood the pain and pins and needles i get in my right leg/foot when running has been ok! Day 13 on Keto: Had a major craving for something sweet tonight. Decided to try out Halo Ice Cream for the first time (I had the Birthday cake flavor while my Keto mentor had the Sea Salt Caramel flavor) It was okay to satisfy that craving but I feel like it was too overly sweet and really wasn’t worth the price. The “Perfect training program” … . How many of you think you have found the perfect program?? . Does such thing exist?🤔 . . . Drives me insane when fitness professionals advertise the ‘perfect program’. This is a great marketing tool to the untrained individuals but simply false advertising.😤 . The perfect program must account for the specific needs of the client. This should include where necessary, corrective exercise for posture, appropriate frequency, volume, intensity and type of exercises. 👍 . A perfect program is built around these factors for the client, and even when this is completed, programming should be ever changing based of results, feedback and observations. And in most cases, constantly evolves 🔑 . The body is so adaptable, that when you think you’ve got the perfect program, a variable will need to be changed. . Programs shouldn’t be given a set time limit before changing. If progress is still being made, then continue. Hy👏🏼dra👏🏼tion👏🏼 💧 💧 Last night I had terrible reflux and I kept waking up with it. I did go to the fridge to attempt a swig of gaviscon, but was unfortunately unable to get it down due to it being the single most disgusting substance on the planet and immediately wretched and spewed it up into the sink upon it making contact with one single taste bud. So there was little relief. Then this morning I woke up with an almighty headache, which was definitely due to dehydration because I didn’t drink enough water yesterday due to the reflux. These Hydralytes have been a godsend. I had this on our way out and immediately felt better! These were recommended by my surgeon to help with hydration and I also have them in icypolr form, and I gotta say, I reckon they’re pretty yummy! I also managed to get in a fair bit of water too. Does anybody else feel like they are just constantly consuming either food or liquid of some sort? It takes me so long to finish one thing that by the time I do, it’s time to get onto the next thing. Never thought I’d complain about having to eat/drink, but here we are 🤷🏼‍♀️ I also found some mylanta chewable tablets for the reflux at the chemist which taste 8288383 times better than the gaviscon milky, minty in the worse way, viscous, band aid tasting liquid from the very depths of hell. So let’s just hope they work! And in future I’ll be more aware of water consumption! Hey guys! I know I’ve kinda been mia, but I’m still going strong. On friday, it was the first time all month that I’ve taken a rest day! 😭 I didn’t go because it was family day. Although, I did feel guilty and weird for not going it was nice to spend time with family since I’m always at the gym. This last week I haven’t filmed too much because my main focus all week was cardio. I did do light weight training throughout the week, but mostly was the basics. I’ve been in a plateau for about 2 weeks now, so I’m just trying to figure out what I need to change in my routine in order to see numbers drop. I know numbers shouldn’t matter, but it’s always been an insecurity for me. Thank you to those who continue to support and show love. So the last few weeks have been a bit of a roller coaster and I haven’t been eating well at all (lots of takeaways and chocolate, ooops!) My husband and I made a goal during this year that we wanted to get outdoors more. So today we went to a Nature reserve about 10 mins from our house and spent 2 hours hiking a trail in there, we seen kangaroos, wallabies and an echidna. We both struggled as we have become so unfit living a mostly sedentary lifestyle but through the struggle we both felt great being outdoors and in the fresh air.
