#squats & #bench today. Lack of decent sleep is starting to take it's toll. Very hard to motivate myself to lift, and energy is low. Happy Monday....starting off the week with this short vid on "Glute Activation"... super important if your looking to grow your butt😏. . Basically you need to warm up the glutes to activate them, you should be doing this with all muscles. There are lots of different exercises you can do Including using resistance bands. . These are 3 of my favourites 👉 Donkey kicks x12 each leg 👉 Fire hydrants x12 each leg 👉 Reverse leg lifts x12 each leg . On the reverse leg lifts keep your leg as straight as possible I try to keep mine locked out. . Complete for 3-5 sets I usually start to feel my glutes burning and that's when I no im good to start my workout. Deadlifts - the most important leg exercise you should do(?) ---‐----------------------------------------‐------- This might be abit of a controversial statement if you're a squat lover (OMG WHAT ABOUT SQUATS, SQUATS ARE THE BEST?!), Well yeah, squats are amazing indeed, but I'll give u three reasons why for some people they should focus more on their deadlifts at this point in their training # ❌ HAMSTRING TARGETTING: How many people do you actually know who target or even train their hamstrings seriously? The majority of people see leg training as just squats, leg press, leg extensions, and then throw in some random hamstring exercises at the end of the workout so that it feels like a complete leg workout. For these people, deadlifts (especially some kind of straight legged) should be a priority, and should be done at the beginning of leg days, before moving on to squats. ❌ MUSCLE IMBALANCES: If someone has been neglecting proper hamstring development for a while, then they've likely development some major muscle imbalances in their legs (their quads are much bigger and stronger than their hams), which can lead to injuries and posture problems. For these people, deadlifts should definitely be a priority, while squats should take a back seat until both muscle groups are balanced and properly developed. ❌ ATHLETIC DEVELOPMENT: If you're an athlete and deadlifts are not in your program, boy, you need a new coach ASAP. Why I love leg day so much? Because after my training session I can’t even walk next 2-3 days 😂 _____ Want to set new working weight on squats - 95kg! Without weight 10 reps 2. 40 kg x 8 reps 3. 60 kg x 6 reps 4. 80 kg x 6 reps 5. 90 kg x 6 reps 6. 95 kg x 5 reps 7. 95 kg x 4 reps 8. 95 kg x 4 reps 9. 90 kg x 6 reps 10. 90 kg x 6 reps 11. 80 kg x 8 reps And then I did 5 more exercises on legs and glutes!🔥🤘🏼Then shoulders, abs and 20min cardio!🤗
