🇬🇧 Since i hurt my scapulae, doctor sayd only 50% for a couple weeks so here de are ! Working with déficit, strapless, beltless deadlifts. This is an amazing opportunity to work my weakpoint wich is pulling off the ground ! 🔸Bent Over Rows 🔸 ➖Develop back thickness. ➖Practise hip hinge. ➖Rows will help you with your Cleans and Deadlifts (sticking points). ➖Improve your trunk stability. ➖Underhand grip will activate your biceps 💪. -When I perform bent over rows underhand grip I like to pull and keep the bar close to my legs as aloud me to activate more the muscles. -Keeping my shoulder blades together. -Chest tall and core tucked in. -Weight on my mid foot 🦶 and glutes activated 💥. ❌If you feel some pain in your lower back, practise the hinge more! 💥TECHNIQUE THURSDAY - Box Squats💥⁠⠀ .⁠⠀ I love box squats. They are a staple in almost every rehab program I design to get an athlete back under a bar.⁠⠀ .⁠⠀ Like I mention in the video, I love them for 2 primary reasons:⁠⠀ .⁠⠀ 1️⃣ It takes the guesswork out of hitting depth. The box makes sure you're consistent with how deep you go into a squat. Every rep. Every set.⁠⠀ .⁠⠀ 2️⃣ It allows you to get more comfortable in the bottom position of the squat. Love yourself enough to live a healthy lifestyle. . . So many of us look at working out and health as a chore. Except it’s everything but that. This face!! See this face!!! This is the face of someone who just crushed a PR while being on a caloric deficit!!! For the past 6 weeks I have been on prep for the NPC Elite show in Greensboro coming up on Nov 9th. I have been practicing posing, lifting heavy weights, working on my physique, working on my confidence, working on not giving in to tempting foods. Today I decided to do something different after working out legs. I decided that I was going to do some Deadlifts. Before I signed up for the show, I was doing DL’s as a typical leg day, and I had gotten up to 185 lbs no problem. I was also around 115 lbs at that time. So I got my chalk out, took my shoes off (because that’s what you do when you lift heavy lol) and dug right in! I started at 135 lbs. It felt good but so easy. I then went up to 155 lbs, ok a little more challenging but still off the ground easy. Next I did 175 lbs a little more challenging but I felt I had more in me. So I added 10 lbs. 185 lbs this was the PR that I help on Aug 22, the last time I had done DL’s. I got it up no problem!!! Then I added 10 more lbs. 195 lbs. I was thinking am I really going to pull this up!! I did!!! I got it with good form too. It was the best feeling I have had in a long while after accomplishing something. I worked my butt off to get my DL higher for the longest time and I took a break to focus on my show. I was all smiles!!! I did it!! I pulled 185lbs!!! Oh and the kicker, I am down to 106 lbs so it is almost twice my body weight!!! ➡️ I used to look at myself and squeeze my hips in disgust, try and hide my double chin and wear hoodies to do 30 minutes on the stair stepper every day and called it and #challenge.. LOL 🥴 I’ve lost almost 40 pounds since then. . You would never see me caught in a pair of light leggings and a sports bra. But here I am today, thinking “What the f***? I did that..” . It’s been so difficult being small all your life, gaining a bunch of weight and still being told you’re small, losing the weight and still being told you’re small. I literally don’t care “how small you think I am/should be” I want to be healthy. I was not healthy in the other photos in this post. — Be kind to others and their journey because you have absolutely no idea where they started and how far they are. . Today look back at the last year and how far you have come since then, how much you have changed and evolved. How much farther you’ve come in your journey of life. I know I have, and I’m damn proud of that girl in the mirror. . I never gave up.

Learning how to love my imperfect body has been one of the most challenging things that I have faced after I had my 3 babies. . I spend too much time picking the bad things and pointing out the things I wish I could change, and I totally forgot all the amazing things that my body has done and given me. . And you know what is the worst thing? All the mental damage that I cause by all my own negative thoughts. . I still have my bad days and I think it’s extremely normal but for the most part I feel so grateful for my healthy body and my mind. . I am a MOM and that has given me the most imperfect but perfect body and I can’t be more grateful for it and I wouldn’t change a thing about it. Let’s be kind to ourselves, be careful what you say out loud about yourself because you are always listening 👂..
