I like to make tough decisions by flipping a quarter. It takes any sense of regret out of the outcome, and allows me to focus on the next steps. This weekend, things didn’t go as originally planned, but one flip of a quarter later, and we were throwing our backpacking gear into a canoe, paddling 8 miles up the Colorado River to some incredible hot springs. The canoe trip was one of the more physically demanding things I’ve done in a while, and I’m sore all over today, but type 2 fun tends to be my favorite. I guess the point is, when you’re open to the possibilities of what can be, the universe tends to unfold as it should.
