HOW TO STAY ON TRACK WHILE ON A VACATION 🌿🌵🌴🍍! #1 - if you don’t want to stay on track, don’t! vacations should reset your mind, body and soul. if you need to use the time to not workout, don’t workout (but still move your body, that is non-negotiable 💪🏻). if you need to use the time away to eat whatever you want, do it. there are no rules to any of this ❤️. if you are someone who wants to stay on track, i am the same way. in the past, i used vacations away as an excuse to binge on everything and have some (lots) of drinks. what i found out after doing this for awhile is that this left me feeling awful! my mind wasn’t settled and my body was bloated and pissed off about all of the crap that i put into it. my journey with health has been a major work-in-progress, and the point where i am finally at now is a result of trial and error and ups-and-downs. once you transition away from diets and make your way of eating and moving your body daily your lifestyle, it gets easier and everything becomes more clear. if you feel good every single day, why would you want to deviate completely from that for things that you know will make you feel like trash? with that being said, kam and i always travel prepared. before we go anywhere for the first time we find out if there are any vegan restaurants nearby so we can enjoy a dinner or two together. we also look for nearby grocery stores that we are familiar with so we can grab some snacks and easy to throw together items for quick breakfasts and lunches. if we don’t see any store nearby that we are familiar with, we grocery shop before and bring some favorite items with us. also, if it is an option, we get a hotel room that has a mini kitchen so we can prepare some food. we have also rented an air bnb instead of staying at a hotel so we can have a kitchen and fridge... and maybe air bnb’s are extremely competitively priced to nearby hotels.
pictured here is our mini haul from whole foods. we also went to trader joe’s and got some pre-made wraps and lots of fun fruit. we ate everything we bought and felt amazing the entire trip 🙌🏻... hope this was helpful 😊💙.
