Good morning honeys 🍯 from blue porridge 🥣 . Slightly different way of doing things here ‼️ 4 Ingredients : Oats, Frozen Berries, Protein powder of choice, milk 🥛 . Mix 40g of oats with BOILING water (trick) and milk of choice. Add chia seeds and cook. THEN. Add protein powder and STIR THROUGH the frozen berries in the pan 🌟🌟🌟 Change. Your. Life. Promise. . I love wearing my #vegan shirts to lift in. I get a lot of stares and sometimes questions. Which I don’t mind answering. I got 5 “where and how I get my protein from?” And followed by there’s no way I got where I’m at by going vegan. OOOHH my friends let me show you how I got to be!! 1st pic I was almost 400 pounds 3.5 years ago I started with the meat eating and rice stuff, and it worked for a year and a half, I lost 150 pounds doing it. 2nd pic is where I decided to change my whole existence, I was 240 pounds on the left and on the right is #vegainz made of a year and a half while losing another 40 pounds in that process. Schaut mal, gestern gab es Kohlrabischnitzel mit Kartoffelsalat zum Abendessen🤤 Rezept für die Kohlrabischnitzel: Kohlrabi in dünne Scheiben schneiden und dann in Salzwasser ein paar Minuten kochen lassen. Abkühlen lassen und anschließend panieren. Zum panieren 1 Teller mit Pflanzenmilch (habe Sojamilch genommen), Mehl, Muskatnuss, Salz und Pfeffer verquirlen. In den zweiten Teller Pankomehl geben. Die Schnitzel zuerst in das Milch-Mehl-Gemisch und anschließend im Pankomehl wälzen, bis alles schön bedeckt ist, danach für ca 15 Minuten bei 220 Grad in den Ofen geben. Rezept für den Kartoffelsalat: 1,5 Kilo Pellkartoffeln kochen, anschließend schälen und in Scheiben schneiden. Klein geschnittene Zwiebel und Gurke dazugeben. 250 ml Gemüsebrühe darüber geben, mit Pfeffer würzen und noch etwas Sonnenblumenöl und etwas Essig dazugeben. Im Kühlschrank mehrere Stunden ziehen lassen. HIP HINGE - In all my years of personal training this is a movement that I’ve notice many of us have a hard time of grasping the concept. Many leg exercises use this position to target the posterior chain, which includes your back, glutes and hamstring - To perform this movement properly 1️⃣ your weight should be shift towards your heels 2️⃣ knee should have a soft bend 3️⃣ your hips should move backwards and forwards rather than any movement up or down 4️⃣Core should be braced 5️⃣scapula should be depressed (act as if you are putting your shoulders in your back pockets 6️⃣maintain a neutral spine by allowing you eyes to follow in the direction you are moving - This is a great exercise to practice with light weight called Good Morning. Just a reminder that progress is NOT linear. I used to be so hard on myself in the past when I didn't see immediate results. I would see all these Instagram athletes and think "I'll never look like that, why should I even try" and that was such a wrong way of thinking because it's not a race or a competition We're all going at our own pace and that's OK. And Of course you will have some bad days or even weeks (everyone does) but that does not mean you should give up! Whole food, plant-based nutrition should be centered around fruits, vegetables and lots of water as a base. With healthy whole grains, legumes, nuts & seeds. Adding dairy substitutes like plant milk, soy yogurt etc. to make your meals even tastier and more nutritious and other substitutes like vegan meat & cheese to help people transition to a plant-based lifestyle. With little oil, sugar, salt and sweeteners for extra flavor and treating yourself. And of course, don’t forget about herbs and spices for extra flavor and a boost in nutrients and antioxidants. -
I probably put legumes next to whole grains because I eat a lot of legumes and they are so healthy and rich in protein but besides that, this pyramid really resembles my way of eating and what I would recommend for optimal health😋💚

❄️With February, and the middle of winter, here, many of us Canadians are trying to stay headstrong and look toward the near future and the warmer months that are coming. Me however? I’m absolutely LOVING this time of year. ⁣(Though I’m sure most of you know this by now!)⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ❄️Winter to me doesn’t mean being stuck inside, laying around “Netflixing” my days away. It means getting outside and breathing in the cold, fresh air and doing things like playing backyard hockey, snowshoeing, hiking, walking, sliding, etc. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ❄️I honestly feel lucky that we here in the great white north get to experience a 40-50°C temperature difference annually, and get to see 4 TRUE seasons. It keeps things fresh, ever-changing, and never boring. So stop being wimpy, especially if you’re not currently in an “extreme cold warning” zone like we are (ie. -35°C) and get out and ENJOY winter! :p ❄️
