📍Somewhere near Danco Island, Antarctica
I must have seen close to 100 humpback whales in Antarctica, which was amazing obviously from a personal standpoint. But what was even better to hear was that not that long ago whales would be too scared to get close to ships and humans due to Antarctic whaling up until the 80’s, so we’re obviously slowly regaining their trust! 🐳
I would like thank to this one in particular for showing his/her ‘fluke’ perfectly aligned with an iceberg’s shadow.. Swipe across to see the whole scene, humpbacks can be 15m long and weight 30 tons so you can see how big everything else in Antarctica is!
