Introducing @missaly__ : April 2017 I realize I was 160 pounds. That’s 30 I gained in 3 years after graduating college😂. It was a serious wake up slap in the face. I started eating and was able to lose a couple of pounds but I was consistently going back to my bad eating habits. I joined the gym in October and I been going 3-4 times a week since then🙌🏼. As of February 2018 I was 148 pounds. I wasn’t happy and knew that summer was quickly approaching and I still had time to achieve the goal I set for myself a year ago April 1: I decided to start the keto diet and I was at 144 pounds. ➡️ Correct your form for abs ⬅️ I had some requests for my favourite abs exercises, so here are 4 of my favourite 🙌🏽The last clip shows some alternatives to planking 🤗 🔁 Try doing 45 seconds each and repeat 3-5 times 1️⃣ Toe taps: slightly lifting your shoulders off the floor can help you keep your back flat and your core engaged. 2️⃣ Bird dogs: if I had to choose just 1 abs exercise, it would definitely be that one! You want to make sure your back stays flat and parallel to the floor, it shouldn’t swing or be over bent. Today was Max Interval Plyo! Mission accomplished! A huge part of the victory, today, was getting through the workout (and pushing HARD), even while getting over the last bit of my cold. I'm mostly better, today, but these things kind of hang on for a while after and I was still feeling it. . . This is the last week for INSANITY and I pushed hard and sweated hard! Honesty Hour: - Really thought I was going to be able to kill workouts 6 days a week on top of going to school full time, working 20-30 hours a week, and other extracurriculars, but I was wrong. Shit hit me hard af today and I just broke down... My body got weak and I could barely keep my eyes open. So I think my body is just worn out. I’ve been feeling like I’m making excuses, not managing my time enough, or just not doing enough and that is partly true, but I can’t do it all and I need to understand that. ▪️ - This inconsistency in the gym is what I feared when the semester started and it’s messing with me mentally. Feels like all the hard work I put in over the summer was just a waste of time & I feel like I lost all the progress I made. . ▪️ - I definitely feel like I overcommitted myself and thought I was superwoman that could do it all, but reality check; I can’t. Just gonna take this week to get myself together mentally and figure out a new workout schedule that will work for me right now. I think committing to 3-4 days a week is probably what I have to face for a bit until I can find more time. If I can squeeze a light workout in this week, even if it’s just 1 day, I need to be happy that I made it and celebrate the little victories. Guten Morgen Sportsfreunde, In der letzten Zeit wurde ich öfters mal gefragt wie ich dicke unter Arme bekommen habe (siehe bild), meine Antwort war ganz ehrlich:,, sicherlich nicht vom Training" da ich im gym nicht extra übung mit einbaue um die unterarme zu stärken. Was ihr aber unbedingt tun könnt wenn ihr dicke Unterarme bekommen möchtet dann ganz sicherlich ohne jegliche hilfe wie z.b zughilfen oder bandagen benutzen. Nimmt die Kraft aus euren unterarmen + Griffkraft und ihr werdet merken die unterarme kriegen spürbar mehr druck. Klar Genetik und Veranlagung spielen auch eine wichtige rolle aber keiner schreibt euch vor das sie deshalb nicht wachsen können. Nicht viel nachdenken sondern einfach machen. Set the tone for your week and smash the first workout! I always start with legs to remind my body who’s boss. Today I did a heavy squat 135/20 225/15 275/5 315/5 365/5 405/5 425/5 225/20, heavy hack squat sets of 10-15 did 6 sets. Laying ham curls, calf raises and leg extensions all 5-6sets of 12-15 reps. Nothing fancy...give it a go

#MythBusterMonday ... answer: olive oil! This may come as a shock to some but olive oil is indeed proven to be better for you than coconut oil. . A lot of people use some type of oil in their cooking and lately coconut oil has picked up steam. People switch to coconut oil because of its “benefits”. “Benefits” that have not been scientifically proven. Coconut oil is HIGH in saturated fats which has been linked to coronary artery disease. There was a small study done on coconut oil that showed participants lost weight and had small increases in HDL (good cholesterol). But other studies have shown increases in LDL (bad cholesterol); so the verdict is up in the air and not concrete either way. . Olive oil has been widely studied and has its health benefits scientifically proven. Olive oil can help reduce inflammation, risk for chronic disease, may help prevent stroke, is protective against heart disease, NOT associated with weight gain/obesity (in moderation), may help with type 2 diabetes, and may fight Alzheimer’s disease amongst many others ! . A lot of people use coconut oil for things other than cooking, I can’t speak on that so do you lol but when it comes to cooking , olive oil is definitely the better choice (Keto people especially ! You don’t want unnecessary saturated fat from coconut oil). Keep in mind that whichever you use has 120 or 130 calories per tablespoon so definitely use in moderation.

Motivation⁉️ don’t know her. Habits⁉️ I’m familiar 🤔🤔 Jk jk but for real - these past couple weeks have been a struggle; my nutrition hasn’t been on point and my workouts have been subpar. This isn’t something I experience often because I enjoy eating mindfully and I truly do looOve the gym 💙 so staying on track isn’t usually difficult. Guess it’s just part of being human tho 🤷‍♀️ • 💫 You’re gonna go through periods where you’re hyperfocused, super motivated, nothing is getting in your way. Those times are great, butbutbut you’re also gonna go through periods where you’re nOT and staying on track is hard af. The key to results is consistency over the long-term, which means you gotta form the habits that help you stay on track when the motivation isn’t there.
