Progress! 35kg on the Rack Squat. Today we learnt how to: Safely unrack the barbell from the squat rack How to position our body under the bar How to create tension in our upper body to support and stabilise the load Foot placement that is ideal to our individual body physiology Range of motion for squat depth Clean and concise bar path Desired tempo for intensity of load Squat cues to allow our upright torso and not caving forward at the bottom of the squat Push cues in the “hard” part of the movement And the reason why people avoid squatting - it’s hard, but when operated correctly extremely rewarding! #novice #squats
