Douglas Arizona changed my life. It's been five days since I got back from mission and I am still in awe of how God used mission to change the hearts of the people I met, my team, and myself.
I prayed that just one person would be changed by something that I said or did, or someone on my team...and if just one person's heart was changed, then I did mission well. And I am still overwhelmed with how many hearts were impacted and changed from the loving and joyful witness of our mission team. I am in awe of how I myself was impacted by the people of Douglas and Loretto School, the sisters, and my dear friends on my mission team. I've cried countless times because of the deep thankfulness for this experience that I feel.
Mission changed my life because it confirmed that I my heart is always going to be restless until I let myself rest in Jesus. Mission confirmed that I will always be restless unless I share my love for Jesus and the joy of the Gospel with others. The witness of my teammates was truly inspiring.
Thank you, Douglas Arizona. Thank you to everyone who opened their heart to us missionaries. Thank you to my team, for the joy that you brought to me, for your authentic witness, and thank you for all of the crazy laughter we shared together! And thank you to everyone who prayed and donated. You made this mission possible!!! Thank you Jesus for loving me so well.
See ya next year, Tony!
