At the end of the day, I saw by chance hundreds of believers carrying a big robe heading to a giant stupa. I decided to follow them. The "Kanchuka" offering in Sri Lanka is a popular ritual in which the believers wrap a robe around a stupa which is supposed to contain the remains bones of the Buddha. People offer a robe (KANCHUKA) to the pagoda instead of Buddha.
I didn't think I would be lucky enough to witness this and I felt very privileged. The country and its inhabitants caught my heart... Ruwanwelisaya, Sri Lanka
