Have you ever been to Alaska? 🙂 I can tell you one thing, Alaska is one of the most incredible places on the planet! Before I say anything more…to anyone contemplating visiting or moving to Alaska, do it! I promise you won’t regret it!
The adventure here is something you won’t find anywhere else in the world. They say Minnesota has the most lakes with a mere ten thousand. But what most people don’t know is Alaska is the number one state with over 3 million lakes!
My grandmother and my best friend are both photographers and being from Alaska I decided it would be fitting to start doing photography. I haven’t looked back since - it is just impossible to not fall in love with landscape photography here.
When I first started I only went to local areas to take pictures, such as Hatcher Pass. Hatcher Pass, by the way, was and still is one of my favorite places to explore. It has more waterfalls and lakes than you can count, rentable cabins with the most amazing views and infinite hiking and biking trails!
Being surrounded by Alaskan nature is a feeling you will get no other place. Weather is going fishing at your legendary fishing hole to camping in the unknown regions, as soon as you step foot outside you are immediately happier.
From the northern lights, to the thousands of different flowers that flood the ground, to the thousands of different species of animals littering the hilltops, in Alaska there’s something for everyone!
Actually, every weekend you can go out and find something new and by the time that weekend comes to a close you will already be excited for the next adventure.
Nature and adventure are the strongest forms of healing available in Alaska!"
