I have been having a craving for black tea and I decided to try @mountain_stream_teas High Mountain Black 2000 tea. It is also storming, chilly, and overcast. A good time for black, but when is it not? 🍃First infusion is a dandelion yellow.
The scent is earth, honey, biscuit, and maybe plum.
The flavor has light earth, honey, and biscuit.
🍃The second infusion is a shade or 2 deeper. A light orange.
The scent is hot honey, biscuit, light earthy fruit. I am still leaning towards baked plum with mild baking spices.
The biscuit flavor is stronger, medium earth, hint of mineral, honey, and lighter fruit/spice finish. It is lightly drying on the tongue. 🍃The third infusion is the same color, but thicker.
The scent is more earth and sweet in the cup,but more plum and spice in the emptied chai hai.
The flavor is more biscuit, earth, spice, and light plum.
🍃The forth infusion is a dark hay.
The scent is warm spicy earth.
The flavor is spicy earth, biscuit, and very light plum. The flavor is not weak and could go another steep or 2. This is a full bodied tea that is soft and easy to drink.
You can get High Mountain Black 2000 tea from @mountain_stream_teas starting at $6.00 for 10g. 👍lovingly handmade gaiwan by @happycatpottery .
