Something that keeps coming up at the moment is how coffee and tea impact fitness & fat loss goals -
Coffee and tea on their own, made black, contain 0 calories (0 carbs, fats, protein).
In terms of fat loss, it’s what you’re adding in that you need to watch. Milk (contains calories, fats, carbs & protein) it still counts towards your overall input for the day. A dash of it, compared to a milky cappuccino are going to impact your day differently. As long as you factor it in, you’re good.
Sugar! Contains calories & carbs. If you take sugar (it’s 2019, c’mon 🤦🏼♀️) this can be dramatically impacting your day. 2 tsp per cup in 4 cups a day = 128 kcal a day. Which is 896 kcal a week. 😳
For some of you that’s half a days worth of food in just sugar alone!
Having a fancy ‘triple shot Frappuccino with 2 pumps of vanilla syrup, whipped cream and a flake’ once in a while, ain’t gonna kill ya. -
But srsly, swapping out your usual syrups and sugars for a standard cuppa could help you more than you realise
