One of my favorite analogies of the mind is that of a river. If we can step back and simply observe the debris (thoughts) that move through the river we can create an awareness of thoughts as fluid, ever arising, ever changing, external observations and perceptions. This guy deserves some time in the light. He has been on my level 1 strength training program for almost 12 weeks. We are wrapping up his 3rd phase now. Within the next 2 weeks we will begin his final phase. The program was written for 16 weeks with the primary goal of crushing some PRs and showing him what he was capable of with a real program behind him. His squat was sitting at 335 lb (tested) before he began. This was a 3 rep PR. 315 lbs and he absolutely crushed it It all comes down to - proper programming - consistency - Time. You must understand that in time you can move mountains. “Over the past 11 weeks I have seen my strength and muscle coordination increase dramatically due to consistency with the workouts prescribed and going into the gym with a clear goal in mind for the training session. Without this program I firmly believe that I wouldn’t not have seen the level of progress that I have been able to obtain over that time period. As far as a strength coach goes, I have not worked with anyone who takes so much pride and joy in his clients success than Aaron. A little chest/tris action with @scymbal21 And @curryweight33 - Decline dumbbell chest press was the second exercise. Banded tris supersets was the last exercise of the night. - Wasn’t a PR day and not really focused on reps. Focused on FEELING the muscle and going till it was fatigued. - One of the most important things during exercise is that mind/muscle connection. High Bar VS Low Bar squatting High bar squats 405 x 3 Reps So first off if you never squat, because (insert lame ass excuse here) slap yourself and then go to the gym and start practicing squatting with your body first making sure to focus on stabilizing your torso and driving hard into the ground with your legs (go figure) and then gradually add weight making sure NOT TO COMPROMISE FORM/ DEPTH in the name of lifting more weight. With that said many of you may have noticed in my squat videos in some clips I go far below parallel (like in this video) and others I go just barely below parallel (Hips below knee joint) and this is 100% on purpose! There are 2 main types of back squats, High bar and Low bar and they both have specific benefits and purposes. With High bar squats the bar is placed higher up (duh) and you typically stand with your feet closer and go down farther, this has 2 main benefits 1st there is a longer range of motion and a greater stretch which is better for hypertrophy aka building muscle 2nd you need to keep your body more upright which takes a lot of core strength and can go down father which helps build strength and confidence going Ass to grass so to speak. Low bar squats on the other hand the bar is lower (duh) your stance is wider and your goal is to go just below parallel and not to much father, this allows you to lift a lot more weight and more evenly distribute the load of the bar on your body by keeping it closer to your center of gravity and allowing you to use more Glutes, hips and back to help lift the weight, this is the type of squats powerlifters do and you will always be stronger squatting low bar if you do it correctly. So if you want to get thicc, High Bar. If you want to get strong Low bar. If you want to bee thicc and joocy do both 🤷🏻‍♂️

I don’t know why I share my thoughts on Facebook. I guess sometimes I feel like maybe someone can relate or feels the same way, it seems like it can be comforting I guess, sometimes.... but whatever 🤷🏻‍♀️ This year has just finished me emotionally. It’s so hard to live in this world and trust. How can people be the way they are, so horrible, so hurtful? All of the things that happen to us, to those we love, that leave us in turmoil inside, trying to understand.....WHY? Every dude on earth wants biceps that pop. It can be a stubborn muscle to develop. From my experience I find it best to use a controllable weight and put the muscle through as much stress as possible with repetitions till complete failure. But - what I find that grows biceps is when you lift heavy during back training. When you train back you are also putting a great deal of stress on the biceps. I am still a student of this craft.
