So this image, photographically, is garbage. It's noisy and has an obvious merge in the middle, but I wanted to better capture the immensity of these systems for my viewers.
This is just a two-image, panorama; I have a third image but it was even worse appearance-wise and rather large for Adobe Bridge to work with for some reason. If I can get it to work, I may post it later.
One of the things I love the most about weather and especially storm chasing is seeing the structure of these storms, which if often hard to do at night for nonither reason than it is dark. If one gets a lucky lightning shot that lights it all up, more power to you.
It is the closest I can personally get to the systems we see out west - supercells - that spawn tornados, enormous hail, and crazy lightning. I did see a report that this may have been a supercell; I don't know yet though.
