💥Ankle Mobility💥 As per one of my last posts, ankle mobility is the key stone to all movement, ESPECIALLY squats. Here’s a cool sequence I use. First: Inhibit. Tissue mobility work in the foot. This will improve fascial, neural, joint spacing, and muscle tissue allowing for a “freer foot”. Second: Inhibit up the chain. Now the foot is “free”, look at the tissue around the lower limb. Roll the outside to get the Peroneals, allowing more mobility at the ankle and foot. Roll the Calves (gastroc and soleous) to free up the ankle. And last of all, roll the inside. This gets you into the soleous greater. Third: Mobility. Now things are “freer”. Add some specific mobility work. Add the band under the glutes and sit into your position and spend 2-3mins on learning the knee ankle position. #fuckpain #squats #squat #strengthtraining #strength #strengthandconditioning #rehab #ankle #mobility #fitness #fit #movement

So feel like I have had a really successful night in the gym! It wasn't busy again so I didn't have to do any waiting around! A friend asked me how I was doing on the #sallyup push-up challenge yesterday...I realized I never gave it another go. . I didn't think I'd do too well today since I've had a low-grade fever all week have haven't been at the gym since Monday, but I actually improved my time, I went from 1 minute to 1:30! I guess all of the tough arm days @rhaehle and @manfrazcpt have put me though the past couple of weeks have paid off! Sorry for all of my complaining, guys! . Here's a lil Kettlebell PR! 🏋️‍♂️ I finished a strength cycle today, and wanted to get a 1RM with KB front squats. We only have one 100lb bell, and an 88lb bell, so this an uneven load, making it MUCH harder for the core and back to stay level. Really happy with this one, but I'm itching to get back to the bar with some serious weight.

Hips and ankles were all over the place today. I’ve got a lot of things to work on. Couldn’t seem to walk it out properly. Thanks for some of the tips @cdubpower and @dopefreshnick that I can implement. Feeling frustrated but determined. ——— Squat: 341.7 for a single. Was aiming for a double but didn’t have it today on strength or technique. 4x3x292ish backdowns and 2x3x264 paused squats. Bench: single at 220. Need to clean up the touch and not bobble it. 4x6x187 close grip backdowns. Finished with upper body accessories.
