THICK & JUICY 😈 I like what I like. Let’s chat about body types! I always get criticized for not being ‘ripped/shredded’ (whatever you want to call it) enough. Look- not everyone works out to look super lean all the time and competing in a bodybuilding show does NOT interest me AT ALL. My main reason for working out isn’t even about achieving a particular look. It’s very mental to me. I take it serious because it helps my health overall and my day to day work productivity. It’s a lifestyle. I’m 4’9 and 103 pounds. Being under 100 pounds is definitely something I CAN achieve if I wanted to, but it’s NOT sustainable for my current lifestyle. I like to eat a lot, I’m very happy, and I like to be strong in the gym. I’m not saying being super ripped is bad- it’s just not for me. STOP BEING SO SHALLOW. There is more to life than a pretty face and nice body. How about picking up a book or providing some value to the people around you. People should focus on being more kind and generous to others rather than tearing people apart. 👊🏽 Research has shown a big correlation between plyometric jumps, loaded plyometrics and increases in max strength during Squats and Deadlifts. I prefer the Banded Belt Squat Jump. it’s easy to maintain proper arm mechanics and doesn’t load the spine as much. The plate loaded Belt Squat allows us to manipulate loads based on percentages as opposed to using bands. If you do not have access to a Belt Squat, Trap Bar Jumps from rubber pads/boxes are beneficial. Keiser makes a great product. However, they are hard to find in most commercial gyms. Jumping is a great option to prep the system to decelerate the inertia of heavy intensity training. EMOM Cardio Workout 🚨⁣ ⁣ EMOM stands for every minute on the minute. You will start by finding a timer for your workout. On minute 1 you will do the 3 exercises if you finish before the minute is up you will get to rest. If you don’t finish as soon as minute 2 starts you start back over with the first exercise. I’ve been experimenting with this style of workouts for various ages up to 90 year olds and it’s a hit with all demographics. ⁣ ⁣ Todays workout set a timer for 5-10 minutes ⁣ ⁣ 10 mountain climbers ⁣ 5 burpees⁣ 2 squat jumps ⁣ ⁣ Let me know how it goes and this can be done as a quick workout by itself or as a finisher after you complete your regular workout routine.

Start now, start where you can, even if it means just starting off with 10 push ups and 20 crunches in your room. Do it. You don't need fancy gym gear or that last cheat day to finally start. Just start where you are now 🗣️ - In light of that here is a 🔥Quick HIIT session 🔥 that can be completed anytime, anywhere. - With this circuit, don't focus on completing "X" amount of reps. Instead aim to do each exercise for 30-60seconds each. Hey Janes, we are still stripping down our workouts. So let's get into FORMation for SQUATS 🍑 🍑 🍑 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Form First: Separate your feet to neutral. Externally rotate your toes. Roll your shoulders back and down and sit down like you are sitting in a chair. Keep your weight back in your heels and keep your chest lifted. Stand back up. Repeat. For a complete lower body burn, complete each of these squat variations 16x for a total of 3 sets. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1. Ballerina Squats Separate your feet wider than shoulder distance apart and externally rotate your toes. Keep your legs externally rotated (knees toward the outside walls) and your shoulders over your hips. As you lower into your plié squat, lift up into your high heel on one side. Alternate. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2. Chair Squat Kiss your ankles and knees together. Keep squeezing your inner thighs together as you lower and lift. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 3. Lift and Fly Squat Take a wide stance. Squat down and alternate to a high heel at the top and a jump.

💡GETTING MORE GLUTE ACTIVATION IN SQUATS/JUMP SQUATS . 🍑One of the key issues I see with clients is the inability to ‘activate’ or ‘fire’ their glutes over their quads. It does take some practice and strengthening of your glutes with targeted strength training as with most people their quads are stronger so therefore more dominant and take over. . 💥If you are in group fitness classes and doing squats, jump squats or jumping jacks ( which I’m doing here) - these cues are to help you do these with more of a glute focus vs a quad focus ... which undoubtedly most women are after! . 👀And because I have no shoes on in this video - it’s easier to show how my feet are grounding with the floor to get a better level of glute activation. . 🦶 You MUST drive off your heels which will encourage you to ‘sit back’ and use your glutes but DO NOT do this by hinging forward excessively as this is very bad for your lower back !
