Today I got my fastest 2km swim time so far 😊😬🤗 I realised it’s been 36 weeks exactly since I got back in the pool after years away...my 2km time today was 42mins 1sec vs 53mins 5 secs...so I’ve managed to cut down over 11mins...I know this isn’t a big deal to anyone else and my time is still rubbish compared to other swimmers, but I’m so pleased...I was getting annoyed at myself the past few weeks for not improving but to be fair I have had one viral URTI after the other so have been really run down..but I’m pleased that I’ve managed to continue exercising through it and improved my swim times after recovering from last week. Doing weights as well has made such a difference to my power! Need to push myself now to go under 42mins! 😬💪🏽🏊🏽♀️ I love swimming and by far think it’s the best cardio...for anyone who says you don’t lose weight/burn calories/get your heart rate up whilst swimming...I beg to differ! It works everything and is much better for the joints which is great for me as both my ankles, and left elbow are injured and in chronic pain due to these!
36 week progress...my stats as of last weekend...lost 24.2kg (53.35lbs / 3.8 stone), lost another 2% fat mass over the past week, gained 1.4kg muscle...BMI down from 42–>31.2
Oh and I love my new smaller hydrasuit from @speedo which I got to replace my previous one as that had gotten too big! 😀
