I remember in 'Matilda' , Roald Dahl wrote about giving report card comments. As a former teacher myself, this resonates:
"Fiona has the same glacial beauty as an iceberg, but unlike the iceberg, she has very little below the surface." Lol, sometimes I had to dig DEEP for my comments.
Now that I'm a parent, I realise how harsh that is. I'd cut the person who said that about my child. Or at least deflate their tires. Funny where the mind goes.
In other news, it's a frozen wasteland around here. Super pretty, but cold like I've never known. We all have cabin fever.
The great Albertan outdoors have the same snow-blasted beauty as the tundra, but unlike the mighty Musk Ox that thrives there, we lack the soft, thick undercoat required for life in this frozen wasteland.
So we stay inside and write nonsense.
