Caution Food At Work: Tree nuts are one of the best nutrient dense foods on the planet. Packed with vitamins/minerals antioxidants, good fats and proteins. Just a small handful is perfect for a snack between meals and can keep hunger at bay for over an hour which stops you snacking on rubbish. Here I'm about to slow roast my organic nuts after soaking in salted water overnight. This is called activating and is said to minimise the effects of the anti nutrients in the nuts (a natural protective mechanism in seeds and nuts). Either way the nuts come out nice and crispy and taste great. It might look easy, but a lot of physics is involved to get the workout form right. Hyperextending your hands to the back, locking the elbows, keeping your back straight, and when you push the sled. From you hands all the to your lower back, it forms a straight line. So when the weight is pushed forward, the lower body takes the reaistence and the upper body is on a firm hold, stabilizing & strengthening the back & core, and also plays a role in correcting your posture. While doing sled pushes with my trainer last night I kept asking myself "Why? What purpose do sled pushes really serve? What did I do to deserve this torture?". . Well...today a woman in a Subaru Outback was stalled at a busy intersection and nobody stopped to help her...except me. I pushed her car across 4 lanes...mostly by myself. Just like a sled push right?! Fun fact: the Subaru Outback wagon curb weight is between 3357 and 3631 lbs. .
