Taking in a gorgeous, late-winter sunset over the city this evening. Loving the clouds here as well. It’s amazing how time flies. Spring was already on our doorstep… Pic taken from around San Jose, CA. (Monday around sunset, March 18, 2019; 6:58 p.m.)
A high pressure ridge continues over western Canada & the Northwestern U.S. This is forcing a frontal system that was approaching the coast to split. The southern half of the system was to move across California by late Tuesday & Wednesday. Today, we saw mostly sunny skies with slightly above normal temps. Clouds were to increase Tuesday with scattered showers across the state late Tuesday & Wednesday with t-storms in areas. By Thursday, it looks partly to mostly sunny & then Friday & early Saturday, another low pressure trough was forecast to move in. This system was to take a more northern track & should bring rain to NorCal during the period. There was to be a break Saturday afternoon thru early Monday & then yet another low pressure trough was to bring more rain to the state… Keep that rain gear nearby!
