Let’s talk skin.
Especially since I arrived back in the country, I’ve gotten questions and compliments about my skin. (Thanks, ladies and gents). I assume the reason for an uptick in compliments was related to hydration, lots of fresh foods, and some good ol’ balinese sunshine.
That being said, I’ve always taken really good care of my skin. My Grammy, Clara, instilled so many good skin care habits at a young age and I largely wear no makeup.
Here are my top 3 tips for clear and glowy skin:. 1️⃣ 💧 hydration:
this is a big one. If you do nothing else for your personal health and skin, drink more water. When we get down to the nitty gritty, skin is an organ. Like other organs, skin is made of cells, which are largely made of water 💦 if you don’t want to end up with dry, dull, and flaky skin: drink up. I also vote for keeping skin hydrated from the outside with all natural body oils and 🌹 water.
2️⃣ 💄 don’t sleep with your makeup on:
this is a common tip - and I’m super serious about it.
3️⃣ 🥛 decrease your dairy intake. You can do your own research on this one, because IG captions can only be so long. Basically, mammal milk is meant for little baby mammals to help them grow. Most of us don’t need help growing anymore, and the hormones associated with said growth wreak havoc on our own hormones.
