1 𝘊𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘴 12:12-13 - For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit.
For those questioning where they belong in the church, this week’s devotional is for you. This verse extends to say that if the body were an ear, where would be the sense of smell? If the body was an eye, where would be the sense of hearing? God shows us that we are closer spiritually when we are connected as a community. We are asked to step into our roles in this ultimate movement known as His church. We are so much stronger when we join together. We cannot forget that we need the church just as much as the church needs us. I love to picture the idea of baking a cake in reference to our role. Just as we wouldn’t eat a raw egg, flour, vanilla extract, baking soda, or a stick of butter by themselves, they are very important in baking a cake. Each ingredient has its role, and while alone they aren’t delicious, when they are mixed together they make something far greater than before. And this verse shows us the same principle. God calls us to reach our full potential, which is far greater when we stand as ONE BODY in Christ. We are making one beautiful movement when we are together. So I am going to leave you with these questions this week: What is your spiritual gift? How are you using it? Have you found your place in the church? I challenge each of you to search your heart to determine where God is calling you. Rise up to reach your full potential. And make God smile!

And in the end, in the end
God all in all.
He will be everything,
everything to everyone,
when death is finally done
and victory is won,
once and for all of us.
We are one. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
God, Lead me to find my place, surrounded by Your people. Show me that with the unity of Your followers, I stand far more powerful than when I stand alone. When I join with Your people, I will find my greatest value. Where You lead, I will follow.
