I was just finishing up my capstone cpa class I think, and I was exhausted. Working full time and doing school part time for a decade can start to take a toll, with the stress and the lack of sleep. Wrap kids into that mess, and oh man you just don’t even realize how tired you are, until it’s done.
I hadn’t been doing anything to take care of myself. But I knew I needed to make a change. So I started to slowly and it’s still something I’m working towards, but at least I’m working on putting myself first for at least an hour most days, to workout, prep some healthier food, try to sleep more ... (still working on this one), and so on. Little changes and trying to stay consistent so that I feel healthier, stronger, with more energy. It’s been worth it and I’m here to continue this road with balance of still living life and enjoying the fun things, but also ensuring there is some consistency in putting my health first.
