I’m picky about foundations and even pickier about high street/drugstore foundations. They tend to be pink based which I find unflattering, have a limited range of shades with a tendency to oxidise and many don’t last especially well. I’m bowled over though by Flower Beauty Light Illusion Foundation in Porcelain which is yellow based, gives medium coverage while feeling weightless and looking dewy and even lasts all day. The accompanying concealer is also wonderful. It’s probably not great for oily skins but really lovely on dry/dehydrated ones and better than many expensive brands I’ve tried. A few gripes - 12 shades really aren’t enough and we only have 5 in the UK which is woeful. There’s only a limited range of Flower products available here currently but I’ve also tried the hydrating primer, contour palette (bronzer, blusher and highlighter) and setting spray and find them excellent. The only disappointments for me were the lipsticks (not worn here) - the liquid ones went on patchy while with the duel finish Mix n’Matte I found the matte end quite drying and really dislike gloss so it’s probably not the best choice for me. But I can’t wait to try the rest of the range when I travel to the States.
On a side note, after months of resisting and using cheaper alternatives, I finally got a Beauty Blender and find it invaluable for applying makeup evenly and quickly while not highlighting patches of dry skin #makeup #flowerbeauty #patmcgrath #majorred #redlips
