Wednesday, July 17, 2019 It’s been more than a week since my strained back, I’m not able to do squats and deadlifts for now. I was hoping to do deads today but I couldn’t even lift the bar without pain so 🙅🏻‍♀️ Bench though, was working in my favour🙏🏼 . . 2 Board Bench Press I still couldn’t tell the difference between 2 & 3 board😆 so I accidentally did one set with a 3 board, womp😅 42.5lbs/93.6lbs x 2 x 4 (all shown) I’m so happy I’m still able to at least do 1 of the 3 main lifts👏🏼 I’ll get back to the 2 others soon. Thank you for being my board handler @a_maly 💪🏼 . . Slowly recovering ~

I’ve been very consistent, my back feels really close to 100% healthy, and my strength is almost back to where I left it. 💪🏽 . What a killer training session last night! Deadlifting with chains for the first time. 405 with 100 pounds of chains for added resistance. Making it 505 at the top. Adding chains really works your upper back, as the resistance slowly drags you down. Been working really hard the last few weeks, only 10 days left till my first meet. Really excited to see how I will do. It’s been a rough road the past couple months, lots of training on top of a new job. But no matter how hard it got I never lost focus or gave up. Gonna give it all I got next Saturday. Accessory bench day. Hit 5x5 on #jmpress up to 240 this week with a few reps in the tank. Followed with 3 sets of close-grip #inclinebench with the #swissbar Finished with 5 sets of cross-body KB skullcrushers superset with KB hammer curls, 3 sets of #preachercurls and cable triceps, and finished with some Scientology I stole from @specialstrengths . Awesome overhead carry variation that really lights up the upper back and stabilizers as long as you don’t get hit by a truck full of glass. Also. New DEADLIFT PR. ❤ 275x1. A month ago I couldn't even break 275. So glad I was able to get this up. I have been focusing on my form a little bit more and it has paid off. I like my form and how smooth the lift was. Now i just have to train crazy and gain strength now and I'm sure I will be able to get 295 next time I Max out. . . . . Not the prettiest squat ever but we worked hard, sometimes competed and definitely loved and still loving this crazy sports that always pushed us far, often over the edge. For many we were crazy, for others we were ego-trippers; I'll take both as a compliment, cause passion is every strong emotion combined with every other one making one beautiful feeling - dedication. Jealousy is combination of every known emotion acting all simultaneously, and realy is the worst emotion and feeling of all. We were and still are passionate and if you was jelaous - and still are - well fuck you and stay afraid of your own shadow.

A VERY COMMON PROBLEM⁠ .⁠ The shoulder impingement can happen to anyone and can cripple the use of the arm. But many people don't realize that it can be caused by the tension in the lat and your limited thoracic rotation.⁠ .⁠ When we look at the shoulder there are so many muscles/tendons connecting in and around the joint. When all of those combine together to make the shoulder move it can increase the risk of a rotator cuff tendon getting caught in the crossfire. Which means the tendon and the subacromial bursa are pinched in the narrow space beneath the acromion.⁠ .⁠ HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN?⁠ .⁠ The lat is connected to a lot of things definitely fascially; if the muscle gets tight (which can happen on its own but it is usually caused by inferior muscles) it can start to create tension, elevating the humerus, and decreasing the small acromion space in joint.⁠ .⁠ By focusing on the Ipsilateral Functional Line (Latisimus Dorsi, Lower Ribs, and External Obliques), we can see an increase in movement through the upper body decreasing the tension on the humerus. 275lbs 🙌 finally! - after many attempts, I finally did it. Shaking in my converse but I did it 💪 wasnt expecting it either because I went on Tuesday for deadlifts and it wasnt looking good 🤣 I wasnt given up tho .. - Also thanks to the chalk, that came in just in time. I order liquid chalk. In my opinion I think it's better than the loose chalk. 🤷‍♀️ I only applied the liquid chalk once.
