I often get questions regarding where I purchase K-Beauty products so I thought I'd share my experiences ordering the products locally and internationally.
Local: there are quite a few South African K-Beauty online stores - Glow Theory, Philosophy Glow and Butterkup Beauty, to name a few. I usually order from Glow Theory because the online store stocks quite a few cult favourites. My orders usually arrive in 1-2 working days (shipping is R80) and the products are packaged in lovely, reusable pink packets. And the customer service is impeccable.
However, I sometimes order my K-Beauty products from YesStyle - an international online store - mainly because it's cheaper and YesStyle stocks hundreds of K-Beauty brands. I qualify for free international shipping if my order is above $35 and the products usually take around 2 to 3 weeks to arrive in SA (depending on the availability of the products). Unfortunately, SAPO takes forever to process international orders so I sometimes get my package 1-2 months after it arrives in SA.
So, YesStyle is cheaper and has a wider range of products but the waiting time is often long. Also, I have to pay customs (usually around R30 to R100 per $35 order). Despite these custom charges, it's still generally cheaper to order from YesStyle. When I order from local stores, the range of products/brands is usually limited, prices are sometimes a little higher and there's usually a shipping fee. But, the products arrive in less than 5 working days.
Hope this helps! If you have any questions, leave them down below!
