One of the biggest #hurdles in our #success is ourselves. We think and think and then think even more before we start anything. And if we do somehow begin something, we give up too quickly. Is that it? Is this how we live our lives? Sometimes I wonder if the excuse is ready before the task or comes later? I guess it's all about memory and creativity. Is that even fair that just because we can not be in the top 10, we shouldn't try at all?
You see, there are different ways of looking at goals. We can think about the entire purpose at once. But most of us get overwhelmed and stop trying from the get-go. Some of us take it to the next level to tap ourselves on the back for trying. And only a few get it done.
There is another way of looking at goals. We can break them down in pieces and think about one thing at a time. We can focus more on the current goal than consistently worrying about the future. The key to all this is by making small differences as we move in life. We often enter adulthood, and ego welcomes us along with power and beauty. We often forget that we have to evolve. We have to improve consistently. We have to always spend time on ourselves to make us a better version of ourselves.
The first step to this is a self-evaluation. We look at ourselves from several angles. What are our strengths and weaknesses? We can start writing them down. At work, we can ask a mentor boss to identify our area of improvement or a colleague that has worked with us long enough. Once the domain of action establishes, a goal can be set to work on those weaknesses.
You will see that just a change of 4 or 5% will give you an advantage over your competition. Through small incremental changes, you can move up to the top 20%, then the top 10%, then the top 5%, and then to the top 1%. By working on your success factors, learning, and practicing, you will notice that soon you will find yourself in compounding effect of success. Keep making a difference my friends. Stay strong, Alwayz strong
