Playing and listening to gong are both incredibly beneficial for mental, emotional and physical health
There is strong evidence that playing a musical instrument is really good for you. It has all of the same benefits as sound meditation (lowering blood pressure, decreasing heart rate, reducing stress, lessening anxiety and depression), as well as a compelling neuroprotective effect. A recent study showed that learning to play an instrument may be tied to a lower risk of developing dementia decades later.
Why not boost your brain by learning to play the gong? I am hosting a gong training programme next month for anyone curious to learn more about this amazing and powerful instrument. The programme is a science-based approach and includes both practice and theory, with three hours of one-on-one time with the gong.
Celebrate mental health awareness week by making a commitment to do something really good for your mind and having some fun. DM if you’d like to learn more about the training programme! ✨. #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthawarenessweek #mentalhealthawarenessweek2019 #strongmind #mindgym #brainboost #learnsomethingnew #clerkenwell #play #instrument #gong
