Yesterday I felt run down; aching ears; pounding head and a scratchy throat...feared I was coming down with something and so whipped up this magic brew. Today.....feel 100% again!. I promise you...feel you're coming down with something; have a few pints of this and youll be right as rain! . 1pint of Oatly Barrista Milk A good portion of grated ginger A good portion of grated fresh turmeric root Tablespoon of honey Dash of cinnamon . Fry the dry ingredients for a few seconds. Add the honey and then add the milk; bring to the boil then reduce to simmer for a few minutes. Healthy Holiday Detox Things! It has been a couple of years and more since I started veg juices and smoothies with Moringa and Baobab. It has been a great way to get more fruit and veg into my diet, while they only take a few minutes to make. The smoothies especially keep me fuller for longer and are a great substitute when I have junk cravings. I find they give me energy without a crash later and I always have one after a workout/exercise session. They also make great hangover drinks after a late night. Plant based cleaning products. A lot of the cleaning products we use contain chemicals that lead to cancer. Using bleach based products are better than antibacterial products as bleach gets wiped away, whereas antibacteria remains on surfaces which we touch and put food on. Linsenbraten 🌱😋 ________________________♡__________ Dieses Jahr wird unser erstes veganes Weihnachten und deswegen bin ich schon auf der Suche nach dem perfekten Weihnachtsbraten - es sind immerhin nur noch 65 Tage bis Heiligabend!!!😂😂 Heute habe ich mich an dem Rezept von minamade versucht, welches ich auf Pinterest gefunden habe. ___________________________ Zutaten: 250 g Tellerlinsen (ich habe eine Dose genommen!) 3 EL Leinsamen, geschrotet 1 mittelgroße Zwiebel, fein gewürfelt 2 Knoblauchzehen, gepresst/ fein gehackt 1 große Karotte, geraspelt 1 Stange Sellerie, gewürfelt (habe ich weggelassen - hatte keinen im Haus) 80 g Walnüsse 100 g Haferflocken, fein 2 TL Thymian 2 TL Rosmarin 1/2 TL Chili oder nach Geschmack Salz & Pfeffer, nach Geschmack 2-3 EL Petersilie, frisch oder gefroren ♡ Zubereitung: 3 EL geschrotete Leinsamen mit 6 EL Wasser vermengen und quellen lassen. Zwiebeln und Knoblauch in einer Pfanne andünsten, Karotte dazugeben und mit anbraten. Die Walnüsse in einer Pfanne (ohne Fett!) anrösten und im Mixer zerkleinern Etwa 3/4 der gekochten Linsen einer Gabel zerdrücken, die restlichen Linsen beiseite stellen. Das angebratene Gemüse zusammen mit den Haferflocken, den aufgequollenen Leinsamen und den Kräutern & Gewürzen zu den gestampften Linsen geben und vermengen. Zum Schluss Petersilie, Walnüsse und die zur Seite gestellten Linsen unterheben. Die Mischung in eine gefettete oder mit Backpapier ausgelegte Form geben. Bei 200° C ca. 50-60 Minuten backen. Wir haben ihn sofort gegessen. 😂 Aber das Rezept sagt folgendes.⬇ (Nach dem Herausnehmen etwas abkühlen und über Nacht im Kühlschrank fest werden lassen. Took myself along to my local monthly food market in the hope of finding a nice vegan lunch and ended up trying Romanian food for the first time! The thing on the left is sarmale which apparently involves filling cabbage leaves with seeds, mushrooms and peppers and then poaching them in a tomatoey sauce! Like nothing I’ve ever had before and really good😋 It came with bread, salad which included two types of fresh cabbage and pickles including more cabbage so safe to say I’m absolutely running on cabbage at the moment😅😹

Yesterday I arrived in Chania in Crete and after looking on @happycow I went to @tostachi , it was amazing. I arrived at 9pm and was told by the lovely host that the kitchen had closed but she continued to offer me most of the options, I was torn between the stuffed courgette flowers and the moussaka. I said I've never had a courgette flower so a fellow diner who was there with his offered me his. It turns out that diner was the owner. I got a salad and the moussaka and was given a free dessert for €14.50. It was an amazing meal with a great view and service. I was invited to participate in the vegan athletes panel in the professional health conference 2018 in Israel, by @vegan_friendly , to talk about how my transition to veganism effected my life, physically, mentally, as a dancer-athlete and as a human being. It's been an honor for me to share the stage with these great vegan athletes, including Dr. Douglas Graham, a lifetime athlete, raw fooder since 1978, the author of the book "80/10/10 diet", who has helped so many people around the world to achieve good health and to cure themselves from diseases through consciously eating a raw vegan 80/10/10 diet. Huge thanks to all the organizers and everyone who took part in this wonderfull health conference by veganfriendly. It was exemplary organized, had important & fascinating content, interesting and inspiring people. I felt so excited to be with people who care, who are thirsty for knowledge and want to become better versions for themselves, for the animals and for the world. Let us all continue to develop the positive connection to ourselves, to the animals & the environment, that is the best effect we can make in the world. הוזמנתי להשתתף בפאנל ספורטאים טבעונים בכנס הבריאות המקצועי שהפיקה עמותת veganfriendly, לספר על איך המעבר שלי לאורח חיים טבעוני השפיע על החיים שלי כרקדנית-ספורטאית, מורה למחול וכאדם. היה לי הכבוד לחלוק את הבמה עם ספורטאים טבעונים נפלאים, ביניהם ד"ר דאגלס גרהם, אתלט, כירופרקט, והוגה גישת התזונה הטבעית "80/10/10", באמצעותה נרפאו המוני אנשים ברחבי העולם ממחלות רבות והביאו עצמם לבריאות טובה. תודה ענקית לכל המארגנים ולכל מי שלקח חלק בכנס המופלא שהיה אתמול. היה מאורגן למופת, תכנים חשובים ומלמדים, אנשים מעניינים ומעוררי השראה. כל כך מרגש להיות בחברת אנשים שאכפת להם, צמאים לידע ורוצים להיות טובים יותר לעצמם, לבעלי החיים ולעולם. שנמשיך לפתח את החיבור החיובי לעצמנו, לבעלי החיים ולסביבה. זו הדרך הטובה ביותר להשפיע לטובה בעולם <3

1 day of @thesculptedvegan 4 week shred to go. It's been awesome and I'll be doing it again very soon but oh boy am I looking forward to a few little treats in the week off before I do it all again. I need to get in the kitchen next week and create some new recipes while I can taste test them 😂😃

REAL TALK: If you treat your body poorly, then it’s going to treat you poorly right back. Drastically under-eating, over-exercising, not sleeping enough...and we wonder why we’re feeling weak, exhausted, stressed, not able to reach our goals (whatever these might be!)😟 . TRUTH is, our bodies are real smart. So much smarter than we give them credit for. When we are in a constant state of stress, whether that’s from not eating enough, not sleeping enough, doing too much cardio...our bodies feel threatened and make metabolic changes in order to prepare us to fight this source of stress. To conserve energy. To keep us ALIVE🌿⭐️ . That means energy is taken away from functions that are not ‘necessary’ for survival: Slow digestion, loss of periods, a weak immune system, feeling cold all the time, losing muscle mass, holding on to fat and water... . A compensatory mechanism to make up for how badly our bodies are being treated. It’s pretty amazing actually💫 . I know it may seem scary, but the only way to heal from a situation like this is to start treating your body with the love it deserves + stop the constant stress so our bodies can trust us enough to function efficiently again🙏🏼 . Sleep more, EAT enough and eat right to nourish your body, exercise wisely and make sure you are taking care to recover from exercise. Focus on how your feeling. Are you fuelled and rested? Focus on HEALTH. The more love we show our bodies, the more love they will show us in return✨❤️
