I know it sounds weird right?
But if you were to really think about it. Think back to a time when you were 5 years old. At that point we didnt have a care in the world. We were dreaming about growing up and what we were going to be. Not once did we think about the barriers we would face to get to that point, we just knew we wanted to be that and it would just happen.
In that point in our life, our parents are playing a huge role in our confidence as well. We are told we can be or do anything we want. It's not until we are in middle school or highschool that our parents no longer want us to believe in that. We now have to be "realistic" and “practical”with our dreams. From there we set our standards and set them low. Low enough so that we can be "realistic" and "practical".
What if we were to turn that all back around to when we were 5 years old again. Take that mentality that NOTHING is going to get in our way no matter what. We need to focus more and more on the end goal vs how or when we are going to do it. A great guy once said "Our dreams have already happened, time just hasn't caught up just yet". If you dont know who I am referring to PLEASE go and check out @charlie and his story. Such an inspiration with #selflove.
In the end, we can truly be whatever we want to be. Stop focusing on the how or when and focus on that no matter what comes your way, YOU WILL MAKE IT HAPPEN!!
