Extremely proud of Andrea's progress in the squat. Queria tanto conseguir fazer dieta, mas é tudo tão caro! É tão difícil! Sim, essas são as desculpas que mais ouvi desde que comecei na minha profissão e por mais incrível que pareça, que ainda mais ouço. Caro? Então vamo lá... Faça as contas: Quanto custa em média um almoço na rua? Um trio daqueles clássicos fast foods? Um Cachorro quente? Uma pizza pequena? Fez as contas? Por baixo custa pelo menos 7 a 8 vezes mais que essa refeição completa, que por acaso foi o meu almoço completamente dentro da dieta de hoje. Sabe qual é a maior dificuldade que eu vejo nas pessoas? A maioria não quer emagrecer, quer ser emagrecida. Quer ouvir o profissional dizer o que ela quer ouvir, e não o que ela precisa ouvir. E quem me conhece, já sabe: não vai conseguir isso de mim! Primeiro porque é uma irresponsabilidade prometer milagres, dizer que conhece a fórmula mágica do emagrecimento, segundo porque isso seria mentira. Resultados consistentes nao aparecem se você só se dedica de vez em quando, eles demandam dedicação contínua, esforço, disciplina e tempooooooo. Não existem atalhos. Lamento informar. Staying on track when eating at restaurants! • I’ll start off by saying that I am all for eating out and indulging occasionally. It’s good for the soul 😊. However, if you find yourself going out for meals regularly and want some tips and tricks on how to keep your nutrition on track try some of these! -eat a small snack before going out so you aren’t starving when you order -take a peak at the menu before hand -keep the water coming, the calories in sugary drinks add up fast -eat mindfully; put your utensils down after each bite, enjoy your food. It takes us time to feel full. There is usually a point in your meal when you sit back and sigh, try to stop at this point and wait awhile before eating more. -pack up half your meal; the portion sizes at restaurants are usually double if not triple what they should be. -tea or coffee instead of dessert -avoid buffets; they make it very difficult to measure out portion sizes. If not avoidable use a small plate when you load up your food -make changes! Swapping fries for veggies, butter for olive oil, or tomato based sauces instead of cream sauces -skip the bread basket -sauces and dressing on the side, no more overly soggy salads! • Above all, if you are going out and want to make some healthier choices DO NOT let those around you give you a hard time about it. It is often their own insecurities being reflected.

YOU GOT THIS👊🏽 • • Lets talk about the bad now because i think this is the most important part of anyone’s journey. How someone over comes this and keeps striving to get better is what makes their journey so special. Stephania has faced quite a few challenges since November. From when we first started till now she has missed about 6-7 weeks worth of workouts and has had days and even weeks were she’s gone off her diet and seemed as if she wasn’t gonna come off that bad slump. But even after all of that, Stephania kept pushing to get better. In time she killed her old habits and created new ones 👏🏽 • • Stephania has since been on a competition prep getting ready for her first NPC Bikini show. 3 out of those 6 weeks were very inconsistent. She missed her cardio and workouts due to traveling for work, having the flu, and being out for a week on a trip that was already planned. But, despite everything she stuck to her meals. Even while she had the flu and was out for a whole week, she never missed a meal or went of track. She has made the changes she has made because this time around she keeps pushing forward no matter what. Since the start of prep she has lost 13 lbs! • • Discipline and consistency will take you a long way. Proud of you girl. You’ve been killing it!! June 8th @europagamesexpo here we come

On the left *meat in most meals *eating in increment s throught the day *late meals *carb loading Although i ate fairly clean other then the meats and carby foods....my timing and some small changes would make the world of difference. Often times when we get a new client they are intimidated with personal training! It may be due to the fact they’ve had a bad experience in the past. As trainers it is our job to put our clients in a comfortable position where they feel they will get something out of their experience with training. TO DIET OR NOT TO DIET 💭 With summer approaching, a lot of people will be beginning to think about losing weight. Of that number, some people will have spent the winter getting 'fluffy' in the pursuit of more muscle that they had the year before. That's the position I'm in. I don't mind dieting. I'm a pretty stoic individual so I quite enjoy the daily grind of it all. The 'Me Against The World' mentality it can create, making you feel oh so important when in reality nobody gives a shit 😅 Equally, however, training is going well at the minute and I feel it would be a waste to stop not. Knowing when to hit the pause button! This is something I struggle with hard core. I have so many dreams/interests and goals that I push myself really hard when some of those times I should be resting. Fun little fact I have been feeling really run down here lately and struggling with my Fibromyalgia to a point that even my saving grace “lifting weights” wasn’t helping 🙀 last week my love and I booked a mini getaway with our babies to my favorite place on earth aka the beach. Now I had plans to follow my macros to the letter go to the gym while I was down there like I always do... however the day before we were to leave I had one of the worst days I’ve experienced with fatigue and brain fog probably ever! The hubs straight up put his large size 12 foot down and said nope gimme your phone, leg weights, training book, everything, you are going to recharge your batteries! Boy did I ever. I focused on nothing, and loosely kept my portion sizes in mind. When you’ve been tracking as long as I have you have a pretty damn good idea how much of what to aim for. I didn’t go crazy I just listened to my body and came back more rested and my 2nd lightest weight and lower measurements with my check in today! My lower belly and waist measurements have hardly budged in recent weeks with perfect macros and training super hard. My body needed a rest and it’s absolutely what I recommend for any of you feeling run down and or not seeing results in the gym. It could be simply a over exertion issue. I recently went to see a doctor who specializes in functional medicine to try and get some answers. I don’t talk a lot about my issues because I absolutely hate sounding like a whiner and not being my best, however j think it’s super important for you to see my very human side as well! I will give an update when and if anything comes from all of my tests.

Talk about a dude who questioned convention. ******* Ignaz Semmelweis was a Hungarian physician of ethnic-German ancestry[1], now known as an early pioneer of antiseptic procedures. Described as the "saviour of mothers",[2] Semmelweis discovered that the incidence of puerperal fever (also known as "childbed fever") could be drastically cut by the use of hand disinfection in obstetrical clinics. Puerperal fever was common in mid-19th-century hospitals and often fatal. Semmelweis proposed the practice of washing hands with chlorinated lime solutions in 1847 while working in Vienna General Hospital's First Obstetrical Clinic, where doctors' wards had three times the mortality of midwives' wards.[3] He published a book of his findings in Etiology, Concept and Prophylaxis of Childbed Fever. Despite various publications of results where hand washing reduced mortality to below 1%, Semmelweis's observations conflicted with the established scientific and medical opinions of the time and his ideas were rejected by the medical community. Semmelweis could offer no acceptable scientific explanation for his findings, and some doctors were offended at the suggestion that they should wash their hands and mocked him for it.
