1) Kettlebell sumo squat - Use 2 hand to hold up the kettlebell, putting it close to your chest level. Making sure to keep your arms close to your body and elbows tucked in. Your feet should be slightly wider than shoulder-width apart, with your toes pointing slightly outward. Keep your back straight and abdominals tight. This will be your starting position. Pushing your hips back, slowly bend the knees and lower your legs until your thighs are just below parallel to the floor. Make sure to inhale during this portion of the exercise. Press through the heel of the foot and push your hips through to return to the starting position or slightly forward to have more engagement on your glute. Breathe out during this phase of the exercise. . . 2) Standing glute kick back - Place the resistance band around something that can support it and place the back of your ankle against the band. With your hands at your chest leaning forward holding on to and support you can find, shift all your weight onto your working glute and leg and stand firm with the other leg with slightly bended knee. Squeeze your abs and tuck your pelvis under as you kick your working leg about 6 inches. Keep the knee straight. Return your working leg to the ground, keeping tension in the band and repeat. . . 3) Single leg supported deadlift - Stand straight with one feet forward and slightly bended, hand with dumbbell hanging down in front of you. Press into the supporting leg at the back (bend it to your comfortable angle) . Allowing your upper body to move forward with your hip as the hinge. Complete the movement by pulling with the muscles of the backside of your body (the hamstrings and butt muscles). Finish it with your body upright and the working leg almost fully extended. But if life just ends up being “the next thing” I miss out on what is going on right in front of me or on a person who needs my undivided attention. @zomerinnieuwwest bedankt voor de workshops die ik mocht geven op het Osdorpplein. Het waren zeer productieve workshops waar kinderen kennis konden maken met een aantal sporten om te kijken wat het leuks bij hun past om in de toekomst meer te gaan sporten. En natuurlijk ook om goed in beweging te komen voor de ontwikkeling! Hier een dag van een workshop waar de kickbox technieken worden uitgelegd/verbeterd. Trail Training (de 80e alweer.....) in & door de Broekpolder van Vlaardingen..... Gelukkig zijn er alweer wat meer paden beloopbaar geworden en enkele daarvan maar weer direct in de training opgenomen. Vanwege het warme weer wel iets meer wandel sessies in gebouwd, want voor menigeen is en blijven deze trainingen gewoon een extra aanvullende training op de reguliere trainingen. Af en toe heerlijk in het zonnetje....maar voornamelijk tussen de bomen in de schaduw 🏃🏃🏃. Met iets meer dan 13 kilometer op de teller weer terug op de parkeerplaats.....waar de tafel snel weer neergezet voor de verzorging, zoals na elke training (ook bij de wandeltraingen). Lijkt je het leuk om eens mee te gaan over de onverharde paden, stuur dan even mailtje naar ttoutdoor @gmail.com voor meer informatie.
