Here's how to give feedback to your creative team that actually works.
Control Your Feelings - Focus on the product more than people’s personal feelings, stick to the goals and most importantly, the facts that everyone within your team has knowledge of and has agreed to.
Work From The Top - Instead of going straight into writing content or even thinking forward in terms of design details, take a step back and ensure everything works on a conceptual level first. It will make the feedback process a lot smoother and clearer for everyone involved. Then work down to the specific.
Build In Regular Touchpoints - Don’t wait until the end to offer feedback, if you notice anything during the process then that’s your best time to discuss it, offer your feedback if you know it will contribute towards the final outcome. This helps build new ideas and keeps everyone on the right track.
Show What You DO Like - Instead of focusing on the negatives, try thinking of the things you DO like about it, that way you can narrow down the elements you 100% like which makes it easier to see those things you don’t like enabling you to know where to focus your time.
