Did someone say breakfast? I got you covered. GLUTEN FREE, LOW IN FAT AND NO SUGAR BAKED APPLE CINAMMON BUCKWHEAT 🍎 Apple and Cinnamon? So winterish right? There’s nothing more important than a wholesome nutritious breakfast, that tastes good, looks good and you can make it from the night before and store it in the fridge for a few days. You can eat it warm and cold and you can adjust it to your preferences as you like 😍
Anyway enough of the jibber jabber, let’s get to the point. ✔️Buckwheat : Low in calories and high in quality protein that is present in buckwheat aids in reduction of bad cholesterol and better control of blood sugars and insulin. Also magnesium which is a mineral present in this grain has a very important role in maintaining healthy bones, muscles and teeth. Lastly but still very important, high in antioxidants and flavonoids buckwheat has a protective role in skin aging and works as a natural suntan lotion creating a protective layer on the skin from the sun.
Anyhow, buckwheat can be incorporated in your diet in a lot of ways such as mixing in salads, yogurt, porridge and soups. 📃For the above recipe I have used:
200g Buckwheat, 4 tbsp flaxseeds, 2 tbsp chia seeds, 3 medium apples, cinnamon & nutmeg to taste, roasted almonds, Stevia sweetener to taste and 3 mugs of unsweetened coconut milk)
