“Can you be committed to the process without being emotionally attached to the result?” - Inky J.
In other words, if you didn’t get what you wanted or things didn’t turn out the way you expected... can you take that loss, embrace it, learn from it and use it to add value to your life and others?
I see a lot of people who are so focused on the end result that they lose sight of what they are learning in the process. As soon as they fail, they give up.
I promise, if you stay emotionally attached to the end result you will be consistently disappointed, because there are no guarantees in life- especially in competing.
You can go into a show looking the best you’ve ever looked and get last place. But it’s up to you to decide whether to write it off as a failure and give up or to use it as a learning experience and grow from it.
Successful people choose the latter 💯
