HAPPY Friday!! Today I woke up officially down 20lbs since I started my journey 2 months ago (May 2nd) . . I eat. I eat a lot. I eat a lot of veggies!! You don’t have to starve to lose weight or be healthy. So many women that I work with don’t eat enough! They’re afraid of gaining weight by eating too much. That is so wrong in many ways. If the majority of the food that you’re eating is fresh vegetables, you can eat a lot and still lose weight. You are a grown up, get over the fact that you need to learn how to eat more vegetables and figure out a way to incorporate them into your life. Even if you hate them, you gotta try new ones, find new ways to cook them, and new recipes. Or message me for help. Whatever it takes. You need nutrient dense calories to feed your body and build your healthy cells. It’s so important!!! You need to consume calories in order to boost your metabolism and get your body to burn efficiently and effectively. So this is my lunch three eggs, about 2.5 cups of vegetables, half a cup of whole fat Greek yogurt and about a cup of berries. Told ya I love to eat and it fuels my life and my health. Double up those veggies at your next meal. One of the main things I love about the keto diet is experimenting with new recipes that will keep me in ketosis but also taste really yummy! Trying to stay Keto when at a party...and if you know Hawai’i, you’ll know there’s a party/pot luck/bbq/feast every week. I took the meat out of the lumpia (like an egg roll), ate the inside of the chicken because the outside was sweet, and had some raw fish, or “Oka” is what we call it in Samoan. I did eat a piece of pumpkin crunch though, and I could instantly feel the sugar latch onto my teeth, but I’m not going to regret it because I’m not depriving myself. This is a common theme amongst my clients who are trying to lose weight the “traditional “ way. Tiny or no breakfast, big salad for lunch and come evening time they are starving and the binge starts. ~ What I Eat~ _________________ Some things about the picture: ➡️I have more fruits (not just one apple)/snacks. ➡️I have two large meals, and small snacks in between / or 3 large meals and reduce my snacks. . . ➡️ I make sure I'm having enough protein in my large meals. ➡️ I have enough carbs too. ➡️ Snacks - I have fruits, cucumbers, carrots, chickpea salad, boiled chana salad, boiled eggs, milk cereal etc. . . ➡️ I make my protein shake very heavy. Usually adds up to 280 - 300 calories. So it keeps me going for a longer period of time. ➡️I have enough quantity of food per meal. I don't starve myself. It's difficult to figure out the quantity just by seeing the picture. So to give you a better idea of it - ❗❕My brunch/lunch had - 3 eggs and cheese omelette(2 egg whites) *I also melt a lot of butter* One slice of bread Sauté paneer--70g Aloo ki sabzi - 1 cup - Followed by my protein shake . . You have a different body and a different lifestyle. You have to find what suits you the best. My body has somehow adapted to this lifestyle and I'm comfortable with this. I feel strong and fit. When I want to eat more - I eat, I just make sure I don't overeat or eat something - deep fry--which won't fit my macros.
