Living off-grid in our bus conversion taught us a deep appreciation for so many practical simplicities. To name a few: a full water tank, a freshly stocked fridge, ice 🤤, a full tank of diesel, or a full charge on a device that helps us generate mobile income and keep living the DIY lifestyle that we do! . For us, expanding our options and fine tuning our capabilities is a never ending (but fun) endeavor. The @jackeryusa 240 Explorer is a welcome addition to power our day to day life on the bus. We also brought it with us on our recent van trip and it was ESSENTIAL because we didn’t have our bus solar/inverter setup with us of course. We charged it up in the 12v port while we drove. . We honestly thought, do we really need this? Turns out yes, we love the thing. It exceeded our expectations. So we wrote a blog with our review from the past few weeks of using it. There’s info. on a coupon in there too soooo that’s a bonus. 🙌 Check our stories or profile for the link. #sponsored

For the love of umbrellas. Pretty ones. The Umbrella Sky Project in Águeda, Portugal began in 2011 as part of the city’s famous AgitÁgueda Art Festival to offer visitors shade from the hot summer sun during the months of July, August and September. This project has also been spotted in Miami, Florida and San Juan, Puerto Rico, among other cities across the globe. Aren’t they the perfect backdrop for pics?! 😍☂️

The Sahara Desert (continued) Compared to the adventure of reaching the desert, our time at the camp was calm and uneventful. We were the only people staying at the camp, aside from our guide and the cook. To say that this is a remote area, in the middle of nowhere, would be a massive understatement. It is reachable only with a 4x4, by camel, or on foot. We chose this particular camp, because of its remoteness and because it is set among some of the highest sand dunes in the Sahara. They reach up to 300 meters (nearly 1,000 feet). Naturally, we spent our days exploring, climbing up the dunes and sandboarding back down until we were both exhausted, and covered in sand. Standing on the dunes closest to camp, it was easy to spot our colorful camp, and to enjoy a panorama of the seemingly endless desert around us. But, once you descended one of those first dunes, and stood in the valley between it and the next dune, you could see just how easy and terrifying it would be to get lost here. In spite of the remoteness of the camp, a few local people stopped to say hello while we were there. One of them was a Berber who spoke pretty good English. We chatted a bit, making small talk as one does, and got to the subject of the weather. He pointed to clouds in the distance and remarked that such clouds usually indicated that there would be rain tomorrow. Surprised, I asked, “Really? When was the last time it rained here?” He thought for a moment and said, “About two years ago.” Even more surprising than the forecast was the fact that there was some sense of a local community here, in the middle of the desert. As part of our trip, our guide organized an excursion by camel for us. He asked us to let him know one night before we were ready for the camel excursion. Then, he made a phone call, and hours later a boy arrived with several camels. As far as I can tell, it’s basically the Sahara desert version of Uber. We enjoyed a mini camel safari and then later that night, the boy, the Berber man, our guide and cook, and one or two other people who stopped by all joined together around a fire to bake nomad bread in the sand and sing Berber songs.

@skylarkhimalayan suggested I make a pit stop at Begnas Lake on the drive from Pokhara. It was a great tip - the scenery took my breath away. It’s funny how a place can paint such a vivid image in your mind. When I close my eyes now, I can see the view I had right here, the lake stretching out before me and the mountains in the distance. Where else has left this impact on you?

When most people are asked how often they travel, they respond that they hardly ever travel, or maybe once or twice a year. What is happening is they are changing their vocab to suit their mentality. You ask if they commute and they might reply with an hour-long commute. In reality this hour-long commute is how are they are traveling. I know with myself, traveling to and from New York City every day seems monotonous. What we need to do is slow down, we need to look at our surroundings and enjoy our daily travels, even if it is to work on the Tuesday after a three-day weekend. - - - #wanderlust #adventureseeker #doyoutravel #travelmore #goexplore #wonderfulplaces #openmyworld #lovetotravel #adventurethatislife #roamtheplanet #nyc #oculus #wtc #digitalnomads #workandtravel #nomadiclife #locationindependent #workhardanywhere #workfromanywhere #laptoplifestyle #officeoftheday #workabroad #lifestyledesign #commuterlife #commute

When Robert O'Kruk first started his digital nomad journey, he ran into a big problem. After securing remote work in his hometown of London, Ontario, Canada, he bought a one-way ticket to Thailand. Then all of a sudden, his clients back home were dropping him one by one and he only left Canada a few months ago. He learned quickly that this lifestyle is easy to obtain, but hard to keep. He had to figure out a way to make money fast. So while in Bali and on the verge of going broke, he discovered a way to get new clients and recover his digital nomad lifestyle. He took these lessons and created a free online community and throws an annual mastermind retreat where he teaches aspiring digital nomads how to not only become location independent, but he teaches you how to sustain that lifestyle as well. Learn more in this week's episode of The Remotise Podcast, episode 009 (link in the bio or wherever you listen to podcasts). • • • • • #locationindependent #remotework #workanywhere #digitalnomad #digitalnomads #expatlife #podcast #podcasts #podcasting #nomad #expat #nomadlife #coworking #podcaster #workfromanywhere #workandtravel #traveldiary #laptoplifestyle #radioshow #nomadiclife #ladiesgoneglobal #reise #nomads #femmetravel #travelbug #thailandonly #mywherever #radio #theremotisepodcast #itunes

If you like piña coladas... 🍍😅 • 26 years of life and I can’t contain how happy I am about how much progress I’ve made during the past couple of years. 10 years ago I was at high school, just started practising capoeira, had a face full of pimples, got into my first relationship and went for the first trip without my parents. Man, I was so shy back then! So afraid to speak up or express my feelings. I wasn’t happy with who I was but I already knew this wasn’t who I was going to be for good. Even back then I was aiming for a change. But the changes I planted in my mind 10 years ago took years to carve deep into my skin. Looking back makes me so happy about who I‘m slowly becoming. Right now I’m finally making some of my dreams come true and it feels so good! Sooo damn good! And I wish all of you to feel this way one day. ♥️ . 📸 @annalechah . 👙 @moietii . #bocasdeltoro #caribbeanlife

The Umayyad Palace is a large palatial complex from the Umayyad period, located on the Citadel Hill of Amman, Jordan. Built during the first half of the 8th century, it is now largely ruined, with a restored domed entrance chamber, known as the "kiosk" or "monumental gateway" which is pictured here. Visitors would be screened here and then wait to be announced to the governor. ************************************************** #visitjordan #ammanjordan #voyaged #borntoroam #traveltheglobe #ammancitadel #letsgetlost #wanderout #nomadiclife #exploreyourworld #followmefaraway #meettheworld #awakethesoul #throughmylens #discovertheworld #travelcommunity #worldventures #visual_heaven #architecture_hunter #aroundtheworld #youmustsee #postcardplaces #worldnomads #speechlessplaces #worldexplorer #suitcasetravels #archigram #wanderlove #archiporn #breathtakingviews

You’ve waited long enough. You’ve thought about it enough. You’ve planned long enough. The time for you to start taking action and making investments is right now! I honestly have learned in life that as much as you plan and think it out, action is still the greatest preparation for your blessings to come. There is so much you cannot learn from thinking hypotheticals, that you do learn from successes and mistakes. Mother City - inundated by mighty mountain peaks and sublime seas Pt. 6/6 ⠀• It’s pretty spectacular to think that all of this is right on our Capetonian doorstep. Less than 5 minutes from the hustle and bustle of the CBD offices there are dozens of trails to escape to. I have found myself exploring parts that I haven’t been to in a while and it just made me sit back and really take everything in. We really can’t complain now can we? ⠀• Two little snaps captured from last evening’s spontaneous Pipe Track walk. It’s probably one of the most scenic walks you can do, as you will always have Lion’s Head lazingly as a backdrop whilst accompanied by Camps Bay’s palm trees & beach not too far off in the distance. ⠀• Also one thing to notice, I will be adding the 1:1 ratio version of each photo I post, so that you’ll be able to view it on my feed and in the regular Instagram aspect ratio! ⠀• Let me know what y’all think about this idea? ⠀• #epitomeofadventure #wanderwomeninc #adventureladies #shemovesmountains #gogalavanting #adventureenthusiasts #wildernesslife #whyihike #thewanderfullife #wonderfulwildwomen #travelpreneur #nomadiclife #travellersnotebook #livetotravel #sheadventures #capetown #ilovecapetown #capetowntrails

Dreams are important. Dreams are real. Last week, I realized a dream I’ve had for a long time. Flying in a Cessna 172 over the Cape Peninsula at the most southwestern tip of Africa. When I was little boy, I used to glaze into books of aerial photos of cities around the world. Cape Town caught my particular attention. Little did I know, I would end up living here one day. This week I decided to count down my all-time top travel adventures. Today is #6 : The #Sahara Desert. @brent_set and I started our trip in Marrakech, where we hired our guide/driver Houcine to take us to the desert. The drive took us nearly two days, including many stops along the way.⠀ ⠀ We left Marrakech and drove up in to the High Atlas Mountains, through the pass at Tizi n'Tichka, where we stopped to enjoy the views, some tea, and a quick snowball fight. ⠀ ⠀ From there, we continued down and out of the mountains, stopping next for lunch near the famous #Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou. The old town, once a stop on the caravan routes, is mostly abandoned now, but the buildings make for a stunning backdrop. It's one of those places that seems too unbelievable to be real, like we were walking around on the set of Aladdin. (Pretty close actually, I found that they have filmed many movies in this area, including Lawrence of Arabia, The Mummy, Jesus of Nazareth, Gladiator, Cleopatra, and some scenes in Game of Thrones).⠀ ⠀ Next, we passed through Ouarzazate, “The Doorway to the Desert”, just in time for the weekly Berber market. Farmers, nomadic people, and local residents all converge here once a week to buy and sell everything under the sun. We spent the night in M'Hamid, the last town on the edge of the Sahara. ⠀ ⠀ On day two, we finally reached the desert. In my mind, I had been imagining a smooth sea of fine sand, like you see in cartoons, and similar to the Rub' al Khali desert I visited in the UAE. Instead, we spent the next part of the trip driving across a hard, rocky, Martian landscape. It was about as comfortable as riding on a jackhammer Areas like this, called "Hamada" make up the majority of the Sahara desert, not the seas of sand known as “ergs”.⠀ ⠀ We continued on, passing the occasional nomad settlement along the way, until we reached Erg Chigaga, and the camp that would be home for the next few nights.⠀ ⠀ #nomadiclife #travelstoke #instatravel #doyoutravel #exploremore #adventuretravel #adventuretraveler #adventuretravelshow #adventuretravelblog #neverstopexploring #passionpassport #traveltheworld #adventureiscalling #capturethemoment #letsgoeverywhere

I arrived to this magical place, the weather was around 50's F. 😎 small villages and friendly smiling people you will meet in the morning, and i felt awed to it's peaceful surroundings. 😎 The smell of the freshly brewed coffee in the morning mixed with the mist and moisture in the air, hearing the rooster and birds surely sends all the positive vibe from the early day on
