To continue the story I started telling in my last post...
Eventually, in the competition I took part in, I made semi-finals (sounds like a big deal but is actually just the second of three total rounds). Anyways, apart from feeling blessed that my work was being recognised, I was also hyped to go on stage again and to get to perform in front of so many talented people (and important members of the jury) once again. As you might've guessed, I did not make finals, which I'm kind of glad about because in this way I could focus on my go-see with the New York Film Academy. When I found out that I would have the opportunity to talk to them and get the chance to win a scholarship, I was so hyped, the evening took a rather liquid turn 🍻🍺 Swimming in regret the next morning, I decided not to dress up for my interview and instead went there in a HACKERMAN T-Shirt with Rami Malek on it, which is at the same time the biggest crime against fashion and the best shirt I own. Hungover and underdressed I was completely myself during those 7 minutes and basically only talked bullshit, saying absolutely nothing of importance and felt like a total idiot afterwards. Well done, me!
