"Heyy, good morning, the sky is all clear. Let's go up to see the sunrise", I whispered to my friend in the dark, cold, quiet hut. 15 minutes later we were skinning up under the quickly fading stars. . Now my body doesn't like mornings, it seems to take at least an hour of hiking or skinning before it starts to feel somewhat good. Young mind, diesel body aye. . However, when my alarm goes off in the dark after a night of sleeplessly huddling in a fetal position trying to stay warm, I don't need to seek for motivation to crawl out of the sleeping bag. I head out for a pee and get greeted by the cold, crisp morning air and stars. There is going to be a sunrise and I want to see that sunrise even if my body wasn't as excited about being dragged uphill first thing in the morning. . But it is always worth it.
