Made it from the west coast to the east coast in record time—dipped my toes in the Pacific a couple weeks ago (in northern and southern California), and the Atlantic a couple days ago for the first time! • Moving a lot can really throw you for a loop, but I have found a couple of things keep me grounded and happy (especially when I am a HOMEBODY TO THE MAX). • 1. Find something to make you really excited about your new place! We have a couple day trips planned to some beautiful places that I can’t wait for! • 2. Keep your routine THE SAME. I work remotely, so ensuring that I wake up and get ready at the same time makes me feel a little more normal. • 3. Focus on the present. We left our sweet pup with my parents for a couple weeks (😭) and something that makes it easier is focusing on the now, and not what things could have been or should have been. Be happy about choosing what you did and focus on what’s to come! • 4. Lastly, find your favorite new grocery store! I’m a weirdo and I LOVE going to new grocery stores (especially in foreign countries) so I try and find my favorite in a new place. I also visit my constant favorites (like Trader Joe’s or Target) because they are always the same no matter where I go. It’s comforting for me, weirdly enough. • Okay, give me your top tips for moving to a new place and how you cope! Also, should I write a blog about our moves and how we do it?
