I love the following insight from Kate's interview with @thehavenway about why we photographed her family in their home. It's one thing to hear the in-home family photographer say shooting in-home is great (ummm duh I'm gonna say it's great... it's my job!), but it's another thing to hear from a real, live, living, breathing, normal, everyday, beautiful human why it matters. Thank you, Kate, for understanding what I do and why I do it! <3 ⠀
"We knew the kitchen and porch were the areas where we wanted to be photographed, because what we wanted from our session was to capture our family at this moment in time. Time seems to move more quickly as the children get older, and I want them to be able to look back at these images and remember how we spent this slice of our lives." ⠀
PS - She also shared many other heartfelt thoughts about family, marriage, love and acceptance on the @thehavenway journal. I highly recommend going to their feed to read it!
